Weekend experience with nature in remote villages, nature will never betray you

Hello all friends, weekend experience lovers....

What's the first thing you think of when you hear the word "weekend"?

In my opinion, weekends are the most awaited moment by many people and the most valuable moment to take a break from the tiredness of tiring activities.

Weekends are also the most valuable moment to spend time with family, with closest friends, or even alone for those who still don't have a partner.

But often we complain because we don't know where to spend the weekend, and what the concept is.

So it doesn't hurt to plan it all in advance, where to spend the weekend, and what the concept is like, it's very important, so that the weekend experience is always memorable and memorable so we can tell it to our children and grandchildren later.

I chose to visit a village where my friend lives, the goal is to witness the unique things that exist in remote villages, especially the typical food of the villagers, as well as the enchanting nature.

I think you must have your own concept to spend your weekend, maybe among you who like coral reefs, shells or even sand, then I think a tourist destination to the sea is a good choice, and if you love nature and beautiful scenery with air With the cool air and the melodious chirping of birds, natural tourist destinations in remote villages are the right choice.

I was taken by my friend to the garden where he planted some plants, according to him, in his garden location I will find many unique and interesting things that I have never seen and felt so far.

The first thing that amazed me was when I saw a small hut or similar to a guesthouse, and the villagers called it "Rangkang".

The shape is not too big, but made as comfortable as possible to use, and in my opinion it is feasible to use, and complete for the category of garden shelters.

Made on two levels, the upper level can be used to relax and chat before taking a break, and there is also a small room that is used to rest, while on the lower floor there is a seating area that can accommodate seven to eight people, and there is also a small kitchen for cooking.

Not far from the location of this skeleton, which is only a few meters away, a pond or tub of water is made to store water that can be used to wash clothes, wash dishes, and even take a shower.

What's unique is, the water in this reservoir flows non-stop in 24 hours without using electricity, it's really extraordinary, nature provides everything completely here.

Using a pipe that flows from a spring from the highlands to this location, and the water is really cool, looks clear and cold like water in a refrigerator.

I saw a middle-aged man who was cooking water to drink. According to him, to keep the body fit and healthy, the water in the well needs to be cooked before drinking.

What I salute and be proud of from him is his hard work and unyielding nature, at his age which is no longer young, he is still struggling with nature to earn sustenance for his wife and children.

He is a permanent worker in my friend's garden, who every day is tasked with guarding the garden from attacks by wild monkeys who try to damage the plants.

In this place I feel like I have been transported to the past, where decades ago when technology was not yet sophisticated, there was no electricity, there was no gas stove, the community still cooked traditionally using pans which could be said to be a bit old-fashioned and far from modern for the times. today, where everything is fast and sophisticated.

According to "Bang Mukhtar" as the middle-aged man called me after a long conversation with him, he said that cooking water directly with fire and a traditional stove would be more delicious than cooking water with an electric or gas stove.

I haven't seen a moment like this in a long time, and I found it here again, that means I'm back to reminiscing about the past of our ancestors.

The nature here is very beautiful with cool air that blows seeping into the chest, cleaning the rest of the body's metabolism that is not good, every breath and breath feels very delicious, it turns out that nature in the countryside is still very friendly to humans, as long as humans here still want to take care of nature well.

Formerly 2 years ago, this location was a shrub, even if there are betel nut trees planted, they are old and not productive anymore, so my friend took the initiative to rejuvenate the plants here by planting new plants, starting from oil palm which is an old plant, even up to papaya as a young plant.

In the hands of "Hendri" that is my greeting for my friend who owns this garden, he managed to turn the wilderness into a garden "Paradise" which has a variety of green plants in it with stunning natural views.

Usually when I want to eat papaya fruit, I just go to the market, buy there at any price offered, but sometimes I am a little ignorant by bidding too much on the price of papaya at a low price, but after visiting this place, I will no longer bid on the price of papaya from seller at a low price, because it turns out that there is the hard work and hard work of farmers who need and deserve to be appreciated from one papaya that I will enjoy.

According to my friend, to take care of papaya requires patience and high skill, there is no word tired and giving up, every day he must continue to control his papaya from pests, and diseases that can attack without knowing time.

To enjoy this papaya harvest, my friend had to wait for 8 months, a long and boring wait for me who is not a farmer, but for my friend, according to him, he has treated this papaya like his wife, so he joked with me.

I also saw two middle-aged women who were doing something here, I tried to approach them, it turned out that they were workers in my friend's garden, who worked every day to clean this garden with high wages.

According to the two of them, they work here to help their family's economy, where since the covid 19 virus attacked almost the whole world, at that time their husbands were unemployed due to layoffs, or layoffs, and that was the only way they could help their husbands.

Here I found, how persistent and hard the villagers' struggle was when facing the covid 19 pandemic, and of course they did not give up and gave up hope, I am ashamed of them, the life I have been complaining about, turns out to be nothing compared to their hard work.

From above I looked down, it turned out that below there were two people who were doing activities too, I was curious about what they were doing, and I decided to meet them down by going down the hill.

When I got to the bottom of the hills, I found 2 young men who were spraying, and they were residents of the village where this location was located.

From talking with them I know that they are workers who are paid based on the number of tanks they spray, where one tank is paid Rp. 15,000, and that means it is only equivalent to the price of one HBD for me who is active in hives, again this makes me aware and should be grateful with my life at this time, and should not complain at all about money.

I want to feel how hard the struggle they go through to make ends meet, I ask them for permission to try to do what they do, and I ask them to teach me about it.

It turned out that when I carried the spray tank, the weight was incredible, I estimate it weighed around 20 kg, with 17 liters of water in it, of course it made my back hurt and I wanted to stop immediately, I couldn't do what they were doing, and they are really young tough.

Because it was almost noon, I was starting to not stand the sun, I rushed back up to the upper level to rest in the hut that I told you about above.

There it turned out that 2 middle-aged women who worked cleaning the garden invited me to cook together, they joked with me that being a man must be romantic, and a romantic man according to them is a man who can cook.

Turns out they were right, so far I'm not a romantic man, and I really can't cook, so far if I'm hungry then I just eat the food that my wife has prepared, or buy it at the shop if my wife is late to cook.

They told me to pick papaya flowers in this garden, and it made me wonder and astonished, what side dishes they would cook, and how to pick papaya flowers to cook, really the menu of the villagers in remote villages was very strange in my opinion, but I was taught by them how picked papaya flowers and told me to learn how to cook a side dish properly.

I saw papaya flowers and tuber leaves cut into pieces, and I thought it was strange, I've never seen it before, and this is really a rare experience I found, and this is a very valuable knowledge for me, I learned a lot from them.

Then I was invited to pick a strange plant in my opinion, strange because the smell was very strong and it was really stinging, I even covered my nose because I couldn't stand the smell.

At first I thought why the villagers' food here is so weird, and I thought I should know a lot about it.

It turns out that the leaf is " Moringa Leaves " which according to them, even though it emits an unpleasant odor when held, it will be very delicious when cooked, and the leaf has many health benefits, such as treating heart disease, high blood pressure and lowering fat and cholesterol. I just nodded nodding as a sign that I was starting to understand what they were saying, even though I was actually a little nauseous with the smell of the leaves.

They started to put the pot on the fire that had been turned on, and meanwhile they prepared the spices for cooking, and did you know that the dish they prepared had a very unique name, "Asam Keu eung".

I haven't eaten salted fish for several years. Because I was worried about my health condition, the doctor sentenced me to have high blood pressure, but here I saw them offering salted fish and chili paste to me, and this really tested my courage to consume it.

After waiting for a while, we were all served typical food from remote villages here, there was a side dish "Kuah Asam Keu Eung", along with chili paste.

While eating together, I was told many things by them about the lives of residents in remote villages, customs and even their special food.

Residents in remote villages believe that if nature will not disappoint them, so they are obliged to take care of nature, everything has been provided by nature, from food to medicine, they all take from nature, it is truly delicious to live in remote villages, and they are happy to be born as citizens. which are far from the city center, although sometimes they are not noticed and are often ignored by many people.

After eating together, my friend invited me to go down to the river to take a bath, and when I got to the side of the river I did not dare to go down to take a bath, I was afraid, because I had never bathed in a river before.

I decided to just take a picture from above, indeed this river looks very natural, there is a thunderous sound of splashing water hitting the rocks, plus the melodious singing of some birds which I have heard very rarely before, it's a sign that the villagers here take great care of nature good.

I was also spoiled by a very extraordinary view, where I found a durian tree that was bearing fruit, even the fruit could be held directly by hand without climbing it.

It's just that, according to my friend, the durian fruit is not ripe, so it can't be enjoyed, and when the time comes, when the durian is ripe, the durian fruit will fall by itself from the stem and will emit a very fragrant and fragrant smell.

From my weekend experience, I learned a lot from nature, about nature and how to be good friends with nature, and I also learned that nature provides everything for humans, it's just us as humans created by God whether we want to be friends with nature, or enemies with it.

And if nature begins to be reluctant to be friendly with humans, then humans must be prepared to endure suffering.

That's all from me today, I hope my review is useful for all of you.

Greetings from me

@lion-bull.
