What would you improve on Hive?

Perhaps the speed of the nodes? I feel a noticeable "lag" whenever transacting anything on HIVE. It feels like it's a limitation by the blockchain. I don't know how HIVE will be able to handle it if it ever onboards 100x the number of users.

Sometimes some lag that happens I think they make it difficult.

Another thing that would be interesting to have is a "glossary" for beginners, the difficulty for those who are starting in the hive is great and unfortunately this ends up being a barrier to the entry of new people.

I think the DAO is too big and should be massively scaled back to something more sustainable. 🙂

I think they should improve the stability of the nodes, in the not too distant future they will see more users and I can't imagine what would happen if the platform collapses.

Hmm I don't know much about the inner workings of Hive yet. But I think it would be great if un-delegating of HP could be immediate instead of having to wait for a few days. I mean, why does it need a few days to effect? Haha.

That the rewards were immediate. We are not in a world where people are willing to wait 7 days.

It would be nice if there was a way to automate certain mundane functions (like automatically staking, delegating, or trading of tokens). It would also be nice if this would apply to Hive Engine, as well. For example, it would be great if it would check to see if there are HIVE tokens in my account and if there are stake 50% of them and swap 50% to HBD (or even SWAP.HIVE).

I'm sure I am not the first to say that I would like better control of where things are displayed on the screen inside of posts. I would also like the posts to show up wider on the screen.

I think I agree with the stability of the nodes. Whenever one of the biggest witnesses has issues, I tend to see issues and we have to switch to a different node. I don't think there is much we can do about that because we want Hive to be decentralized but I think there should be a way for it to automatically switch over instead of manually changing it.

How about they explain the gist of their work, or publish it in their posts in human language without code? lol

Perhaps some templates on how to post, to help newbies, a more elaborate layout with more explanations so that everyone can better understand what each item, each token and term means.

At first it would be that, but later it could also be stability, there are times when everything gets a little stuck or slow.

That payments can be automated in a simple way. That would open up the possibility of subscription services.

i havent payed attention to the tech side in so long i wouldnt know.

Nodes stability is an issue and very important to improve. Sometimes it can be a little frustrated when reds keep showing up on the notification and when times when tokens are jammed, even more frustration comes.

The speed needs to be increased. Some of my replies don't get through if I move on to the next conversation too quickly. :(

What would you improve on Hive?

I think it will be the promotion. When non-crypto people start to talk about crypto, they will talk about Bitcoin, Ethereum, and DOGEcoin. After some trading talk, Goes to crypto game talk and some people know Ethereum, WAX, and KLAYxMBX (because of Ni no Kuni) or KLAYxWEMIX (because of Mir4).

I don't know why, but I think HIVE will be found after a few times Googling somehow 🤔. I seldom see people talking about "social media in crypto" because that's fitting the category of HIVE tokens.

How about adding a plagiarism check bot in front-ends that can show us the percentage of plagiarized content, good for curation and posting original content.

If I had a magic wand and could change one thing, it would be related to the approximately 3% APR that is handed out to all accounts with Hive Power. I have noticed there are accounts which have not been active in over 3 years with no activity whatsoever. But these accounts are still getting the 3% APR. I would change it so that this pot of funds is only awarded to active accounts with activity in the last year or two or three....Not to accounts that have no interest in the Hive Platform. Most of these accounts are from the original fork. Then these funds that are no longer awarded to the inactive accounts increase the APR that is awarded to active accounts.

Just a thought to award those that are still with Hive and actively participating.

Hive really needs a focal point. Like a centerpiece or homepage where people can always have a place to start and get information/help from the community. Something big that says "Start Here" so people can learn the ropes and have a jumping off point from which to explore, but that they can always come back to and ask questions. Almost like a Discord channel with mods, FAQs, and easy to understand basics of what Hive is and how it works.

Oh boy, where to begin!
At the beginning, make it far simpler to actually sign up and get an account.
It is too complicated, if something is not smooth and fast now, most people will give up.

I'd make sure the network of highly used nodes is better spread throughout the world.

Hahaha I thought this mission was going to be easy, but it took me a while to think.

I think that improving beginners' learning is a good way, there should be a more complete initial guide, since most of the questions are answered only with the help and goodwill of more experienced users from their tribes.

It would be great to have a really simple method to come aboard Hive where one can create an account and start doing things without the need to go searching on how to do this or that etcetera. The current sign up process can be overwhelming to newbies.

IMO, I don't think whales care much about the little accounts. !LOL please don't quote me on that... 😜 well, what I wish is a buffer against power tripping of larger accounts vs smaller accounts. I have personally seen a downvote wraith who hides under a farm account with a large delegation. 🙄

Better interfaces would be nice - not really a problem with the blockchain itself per se, but if broadcasting to a node fails there could be better handling. It also lacks packages for some major programming languages, at least last time I looked.

A better and easy way to buy / sell hive or HBD for small players.

I'm a bit late, I've been away all week in some off-line activities. Actually, I don't even know what I would change. Mainly because I don't use other blockchains anymore so I can't even compare.
But I would like to have a service, whatever it is called, where I could directly change Hive into fiat and vice versa. Like a kind of swap.

I know I'm kinda late to the party, but being really blunt: the thing I would improve on Hive is making it stop looking like an early-2000's geosites.

I love Hive, but the whole ecosystem looks like it stopped back in the Neopets and Yahoo Answers days.
