In a world that tends to be more and more automatized and robotized, human and human labor will matter less and less. The question we have to ask is: Where will our income come from if our jobs become redundant?

What if a part of our income would come from playing games?

Today's challenge

We would like you to list the games from which you earn an income and maybe also give us as a rough number how much you earn with these games.

Write your answer as a comment to this post

The Liotes Mission

By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.

People who submit a an answer will get 4 credits.

We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.

List of my games 🤔

  1. Jobtribes - DEAPcoin
    Earned: Around 30.000 PALEcoin/day = 90 DEAPcoin/day = $0.6/day
Do: Auto battle while gathering materials to level up and gacha new cards
    image.png

  2. Splinterlands - HIVE
    Earned: Around 200 DEC + 1 SPS/day = $1.3/day
Do: Ranked battle with same strategy over and over again + Daily quest
    image.png

  3. Axie (Scholar) - Ethereum Network
    Earned: Around 150 SLP - 30% tax = 105 SLP/day = $6.47/day
Do: Earn 50 SLP in adventure and spam Arena until out of energies... (include finish daily quest)
    image.png

  4. Rising Star Game - HIVE
    Earned: $???/day
Do: Focus on leveling to STARBITS Millionaire
    image.png

  5. MyDefiPet - BNB
    Earned: 0.03 DPET/day = $0.06/day
    Do: Stake pets and sleep
    image.png

There are some games that are still in a "learning" state like CryptoBrewMaster, ChainGuardian, Hash Rush, Plant vs Undead, etc. but those 5 are the focus point for earning now >< Multi-tasking is fun

Wow! Thanks for this awesome detailed reply! I have never heard of Job Tribes? Now, I know that some of these games will be here in a 2-3 years... The earnings then should be like 10x or more than at this moment... It was like that for me with Splinterlands!

Well of course I play Splinterlands but I couldn't tell you how much I make. But I have made probably around $1000 recently selling my extra monsters.

Rising Star ⭐ is a good one. I make around 10000 starbits every 2 to 3 days.

I think that's pretty much it for now. In other games, I earn a negligible amount or nothing yet/anymore. Games like dCity, steemnova, cometh.

I was doing a small re-cap of Splinterlands and Rising Star... I couldn't believe how much I have accomplished in RS in less than a year... Just amazing!

Now that I'm in the final zone in RS, I've sort of hit a wall. I don't have enough fans to progress anymore. Perhaps I should buy some packs...

I'm currently playing Splinterlands and Rising Star only; my income is still negligible in both, as I'm still a new player investing on both. On Splinterlands I'm able to earn 2-3 DEC per won match (and I win about 10-15 matches per day); on RisingStar, I'm earning about 300-500 starbits per day.

Just be persistent and build up your portfolio... You will notice how your earning are growing every month... Those two games are amazing!

I’m currently play Rising Star, and Splinterlands. I’m not really sure how much I’m earning on either, because for now I’m not cashing anything out. I’m focused on building bigger stakes in both games, so that I have the potential to earn more in the future. I’m also keeping an eye on Exode, Muterra, and Taergyn. They are all still in development, but I’m hoping my early positions in each of them will pay off.

In the past I believed that every game would develop like Splinterlands and I jumped on all wagons just to realize that Splinterlands was rather the exception. I hope that we will have one of these games developping in a similar way.

Yea! There is a huge, huge entertainment industry. Decentralizing it through gaming looks promising to even reduce crimes and war crimes by transforming coercive one to many systems into voluntary many to many environments.

To answer your challenge question: There is no particular game I play for income yet. I play for fun! And I love that this fun is not only a waste of time but an investment of some kind into maybe some retirement for me and/or my family.

Thanks a lot for stopping by! I started to play Splinterlands for the fun of it and I hardly invested any money. After 3 years into it, there is like payday now and I doubly enjoy the game. It's great to see that the income from playing a game can actually make a real difference!

It's a kind of ranking that shows the engagement into the project. You can get points by commenting on our posts and our missions and you can also get points by buying and staking LENM or by delegating Hive power to liotes.voter. When you reach a title, you get some free LEN and the higher up you are in the ranking, the bigger the chances that our curation trail finds your posts ;-)

I currently play Splinterlands and Rising Star. For Splinterlands, I think I probably earn about 10k or so DEC total per season according to my season report (twice a month). On the other hand, my Rising star gains are probably around 180k starbits or so per week right now (this includes the millionaire quest).

Those are my two favorite games, too! That 180K in Rising Star is awesome and it just adds up every week more and more... ;)

Currently I focus 100% on Splinterlands. It seems I do quite well, I just checked my season report. Especially renting produced more than x2 the amount I received from ranked battles (and renting slowed down previous season, apart from last 1-2 days). We still don't count in any way brawl "assets", but they will turn out to be another stream of income.

In the back-stage I am still involved in Dcity and I believe the game still has life in it, especially if more players discover it.

I think I'd like a RPG game on Hive... A real one, only assets (and transactions with them) on Hive, maybe.

I have stopped playing Dcity because I honestly am quite overwhelmed with it. I don't want to take the time to try to understand everything. The good thing is that I still have my assets and they produce some passive income.

I agree, a good RPG game would be something worth having on hive...

I'm not playing any games at the moment :(
I played Cryptobrewmaster, got about 2000 CBM there.

I spent more and more time on that game and earned less and less. I practically had to keep investing, and the result of beer sales was always the same or even less than the investment. I have quite a few rare cards there but I can't sell them because now only citizens get a license to sell or I would have to buy a citizen for 1000 ASH.
And I got to the point where I had had enough of everything, the time I was playing there could have been spent somewhere else. I quit, took off the 2000 CBMs, which at that time, a couple of months ago, was about 30 HIVE.

I started playing the game because I'm a beer lover, but I make a lot more money writing the BeerTasting blog than I do playing Cryptobrewmaster.

Oh, I just remembered, I'm currently playing /if it's even a game/, Ape Mining Club (doesn't require any effort or constant play) and I have 7 APE there, which is now about 8.5 Hive.

Yes, I agree that this current buzzword "Play To Earn" will have a role in the future, but I don't think it will be the only way to make money, nor even the most important one. Just as the gaming crypto sphere is evolving, so is the financial sphere, as well as the decentralized architecture sphere - a huge amount of revenue-generating services are expected from the SPKnetwork and all those who will participate in it.

When I started to play games it was with Splinterlands and then I jumped on all the other games that came out, hoping they would be like Splinterlands. Unfortunately I realized that Splinterlands would rather be the excpetion. Most of the games lack interest or tokenomics. I agree with you that there are a lot of new ways of earning that might appear soon.

I play Splinterlands. Last season I earned about 5300 DEC from quests, ranked battles, cards, potions, and rentals. I also get some SPS.

I don't actually play dCity but I have a bunch of SIM that I've pooled with PIZZA and that I just hold. I get about .2 HIVE per day but it's slowly climbing.

I just started dCrops so I get about .2 HIVE per day from that one as well but I think that should climb to about 1 HIVE per day once my assets pass the 15 day mark.

I've got some EXODE packs and I've tried to start it a couple times but I haven't been able to dedicate the time to it yet.

I also have some APE of which I get maybe 2/per day of that. Some of that is coming to me from my UTOPIS holdings though...

That's it for my play2earn portfolio. I just started with Splinterlands around the end of July and the rest have been more recent than that so...not a lot to talk about yet.

I've been in Splinterlands for about 3 Years and it was very interesting to see how the games developed on the blockchain. Unfortunately most of them lack either quality or tokenomics and so far I stopped to play most other games.

Splinterlands: 200$ worth from DEC and 1250$ from SPS monthly.
Rising Star: 320$ monthly
Dcrops; 10$ monthly.

Man that's some serious income that you make thanks to games! I didn't think you could make so much with Rising start. I should probably start to play it again ;-)

You can make more with Rising Star without spending a single dime, you just need to strategize and build up, it can easily generate you 1000 $ a month if you get a hang of it. My most favorite game, play a mission and forget it.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I currently play Splinterlands and just started a city in dCity. For Splinterlands, my last season report shows that the total DEC value of earnings was 1208. This is not counting the SPT for creating content or SPS airdrop.
I have only been playing for a few months so still trying to grow my account.

When you start with splinterlands it takes some time to grow your account and sooner or later you will be limited by your summoners and then you will probably need to invest to upgrade them... or maybe buy chaos leagues :-). It's a nice and funny journey though!

I mainly play Splinterlands, and a little Rising Star in terms of block chain games. Not sure how much I'm making, since I'm not really cashing stuff out, though with the SPS air drop the Splinterlands amount is probably a lot right now.

These two games are probably the most popular (and most profitable) on Hive at the moment... If there wasn't airdrop, I think that I would have more earnings with Rising Star... But, I do like both games!
