Memorial Day Weekend Here in the USA

No big plans here. We are going out for an early dinner this afternoon/evening.
Going to a nicer restaurant here in town. My husband has never been and I haven't been there in a long time.
It's called The Hob Nob, one of the old-school Supper Clubs that used to be really popular a long time ago. This place still is. I called yesterday afternoon for a reservation for tonight and they only had three times available. One was at 7:30 tonight. Roy and I don't like to eat that late. My Dad still would like to do that.

It was featured in a book that you can buy on Amazon. They're a thing here. Supper Clubs.

I showed my husband the menu online so that he was prepared for the prices before we got there. Didn't want him to fall out of the chair when he looked at the menu.

Friday Buy Day 5/26

Started with 0.86150829 Swap.Hive in my Hive Engine wallet
Bought my weekly $16.00 USD worth of Litecoin.
I ended up with $14.29 USD worth of Litecoin which I transferred to Swap.LTC

Traded some other tokens and got 3.3104473 more Swap.Hive while I waited for my Swap.LTC to show up.
Received: 0.80936255 Swap.LTC and traded it for 202.26489989 Swap.Hive
Had to wait for the sell order to close

Until then I had 173.57126612 Swap.Hive to use for this week's token investments
Withdrew 35 to liquid Hive and traded for HBD to use for an upgrade in CTPX
After the fee, I received 34.737 HIVE and sold for 12.067 HBD
The Litecoin sell order was completed and I had 172.03249868 left to reinvest in tokens.

It was very nice, Thanks! We had an early reservation and it had just started to get really busy as we were leaving.
Which was good because it was getting hard for my Dad to hear as it got noisier in there.
This week's buying was especially fun. But yeah, they do add up little by little

Thank you, Barb! We will have the leftovers this evening. He liked it much more before it got busier and louder. He was stubborn and waited too long to get hearing aids. His hearing deteriorated far too much before he gave in. And as we know, they don't replace hearing that is lost.
My mother was telling him to get hearing aids for at least a couple of years before she passed away.
Oh well. It is what it is.

Yeah, the leftovers were pretty good. Thanks! I don't like being in crowds because of the noise levels. It is irritating. I told Roy that the reason I want to live in town is for the infrastructure (internet, utilities, etc.) and being able to get to the grocery store in less than 15 minutes. I am all about convenience and reliability when it comes to stuff like that. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead.😆

That's good, Lisa. I'm glad you enjoyed your leftovers. Yes I understand the crowd thing. It is irritating. I use to get claustrophobic in crowds. It helps that we are living in a house that is already paid for.

Hi Barb!
We were living in an apartment here in town that was bigger than the square footage of this house. Ironic.
Anyway, we offered that we would move in here so that my Dad could safely stay in his home and not have to move to assisted living.
We are making it work as best as possible. It's not without its challenges.
All in all, it's better for all of us for the most part.

I'm glad you moved in with your dad! You are so kind. My mom was lucky and she was fortunate to pay for caregivers, so she could stay in her home. My sister lived with her and dad for a long time then dad passed in 1993. My mom had all of us - 4 kids looking out for her, too. At one time she fell and broke her arm in a few places and fractured her hip. She had to be put in an assisted living place and she hated it. She almost died there and hated the food. The doctors wouldn't let us take her out until she was almost dead! Anyway she made it back to her house with caregivers and lived 4 more years. She had congestive heart failure and could not walk after falling. She lived to 92. It sounds like your dad is doing great! Have a great week. !BBH !CTP

You and your siblings took great care of your Mom too!
When I get annoyed with him I remind myself of what they put up with when we were growing up.
We didn't make it easy. But we didn't get in any real trouble either.
Dad is doing alright. He is 92 and will be 93 on New Year's Day.
His hearing and eyesight aren't the best but he pushes himself to do more.
Sometimes a little too much. But better than not at all.

Thank you, Barb! It is pretty inspiring to see how motivated he can be at his age. I feel bad when he gets frustrated though. It's hard to see him struggle. But he gets through it.
