Ever since I went on my first caravan park holiday a few months ago, I think these are a great way to go on a short economical break. Most of these caravan parks close at the end of this month for the year and normally you can find good bargains at the end of the season. This week I am on my second caravan park holiday at a place called Exmouth in UK. It's just over an hour away from me but it's an area that I've never been to before. I figured it would be nice to spend a few days here before winter sets in. Plus, a four night stay only cost me £47, too good a bargain to pass.

This particular caravan park is very big, 200 acres in total and has around 2000 caravans. In case you're wondering what a £49 four night holiday looks like, you need to look no further. Ok, don't expect 5 star accommodation, but it's basic and clean which is enough for me. My caravan has two bedrooms and sleeps four people, but I wouldn't want to share, even with my own family as there's only one toilet. When accommodation is so affordable, there's really no reason to save. There's also a sitting area and a kitchen which is perfect to cook our own dinner if we don't want to go out.

Location wise, it's on the Jurassic Coast, a coastline that stretches for 95 miles along the south west of England. It is the only place on Earth where rocks from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods can be seen in one place, representing 185 million years of Earth’s history. Source I went for a short walk today starting at the most westerly point of the Jurassic Coast called Orcombe Point and did a mile return walk to a nearby town. It was a lovely walk and it's been a long time since I walked so much. Will share more about that later on.

The only downside here is the mobile connection which is very weak as it's quite remote by the coastline. I have to put my mobile phone by the window, and even then, the signal is quite unstable. Hopefully this post will get through ok....

You really can't beat that price. That's awesome! It's nice that it's by the water as well.

It was supposed to £69 which is still a very good deal but I got a £20 discount, it would be a crime not to take out the offer. Plus I save on heating at home 🤭

What a great caravan park experience. I wish to visit a place as relaxing as this. This is really so breathtaking my dear friend. I felt I am traveling with you, and your shots are all great. Keep safe always and have safe travels. !LUV

That's an unbelievable price for a 4 night stay, and the Exmouth area is lovely. Great find - looking forward to hearing more !

I just found out there isn't really much to do in Exmouth itself, but Exeter is very near, and will be heading to Torquay tomorrow, have arranged a mini Hive meet up!!

No...can't see the post...

There's still bargains to be had and I love places like this. We toured all over the UK as a kid on holidays in Triumph Herald pulling a 9'6" caravan which was a little cramped to say the least but happy days.

The sea looks gorgeous and hopefully the decent weather will continue for a while longer :-)

You know what the British weather is like, it's gradually slipping away, and supposed to rain tomorrow. Fun times!!

The area looks beautiful and pleasant. Apart from all the hustle and bustle of life. By mentioning geology courses, they reminded me of my high school days. Remember Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic. How much I liked the geology course, but my further studies did not find anything related to this subject.

The age of this coast line makes it very valuable, I think it's a UNESCO site as well. Yesterday during my walk, I saw a small part of the cliff that looks like had collapsed a while ago, hopefully it won't disappear too soon

I really want to experience this trailer. It looks very fun. £47 for four nights is also very reasonable. Even taking in the view of the coastline can be a good idea to pass the time. I think it will not do any harm to stay away from social media for two or three days. You have also experienced the pleasure of walking along the coastline. I wish you a happy holiday in your caravan.

That's true, being off grid isn't a bad idea sometimes, we should do more of that. Still got a few more days here, will make the most of it

This is amazing! I can't believe how cheap your holiday is, I could never afford something like that. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself, especially walking along the coast. The mobile signal sounds tricky but hopefully you'll have better luck once you're away from the coast. Thanks for sharing your holiday experiences, I hope you have lots of fun.

Thanks @damla, it's a very nice break, staying by the sea makes a difference from the normal city breaks

I'm surprised the price is so low for 4 days in that cool place. I'll have a trip with my girls at the end of November in Dublin and even though the plane tickets are decent, the rent is sooo expensive. But I can't wait to take some days off in a new country :)

That's great, you're the traveling!! Dublin is a very nice city, but like all capital cities, are always going to be quite expensive. I'm sure you girls will have a great time!!

This is one of the cheapest vacations I've ever seen. And you're alone with nature and you're hanging out in a great landscape. What more could you ask for. Maybe a better internet connection? It would be better, but everything can't be perfect.

That's true. A cheap good accommodation in lovely setting is really a very good package, I'll spend more time enjoying myself instead of staying on line !

That’s a bargain indeed @livinguktaiwan to good to not go.
Great place to discover. Looking forward to seeing more of the coast.
The place is basic but will do just fine for a few days. It’s clean. 🤓😎
Have a great mid-week 👋🏻☀️

The only reason I pass up a bargain is because the timing didn't work out! So glad you were able to make it work!

Given that I don't work now, it's not that difficult 😅

I've always wanted to take a caravan vacation. 🤗 It's so nice to watch you take a caravan vacation. Moreover, the price is very affordable. Even as you tell us about your vacation, I can feel your joy. Again, you took great pictures for us.

Representing 185 million years of Earth history, it is the only place in the world where rocks from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods can be seen in one place.

Thank you for sharing these places with a very old history 🥰🤗🙏
