February Hive Power-Up Day

2024 started with a bang once again, one month done and dusted, eleven to go, so there's no time to waste!

I took the bull by the horns and finally went for the hernia repair surgery. The surgeon warned me that it would be painful, but my rose-tinted glasses believed it would not be as bad as he was making it out to be!
I was wrong, he was right, but I'm well on the way to healing.

I've been blogging from my cell phone as it's still not easy sitting in my office chair.
What else have I been doing? I binge-watched TV series for the first week, then evolved to cooking, but I should be back to normal activities in another two weeks, or maybe even less.

I am so missing going places and meeting up with friends!

Having a passion for blogging, interacting, and reading about what Hivers do across the globe, is what helped me survive my hibernation, and these are factors that are vital to succeed here in the Hive blogosphere.

As I shared last month, the benefits are countless - widening one's perspective on life, learning about various cultures, finding inspiration, and getting the creative juices going, as well as finding kindred spirits; all these and more, are priceless!

Writing can be a tremendous help in working through emotional turmoil, and Hive has been the place where I've been offloading.
Thankfully there have been many happy occasions as well, so much of my ups and downs are now stored here in my Forever Memory Bank on Hive.

What is Hive Power Up Day all about?

@hivebuzz who gives out those Power Bee Badges explains it in their POST:

• Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
• Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
• Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!
• Finally, several amazing members are offering prizes that include delegations, Hive giveaways, and other cool stuff to the Hive PUD participants.

That cheeky bee you see in my cover image is a badge given out by @hivebuzz for everyone who powers up at least 10 HP, and the bigger your power-up, the bigger your Power Bee Badge will be!

How did I fare this month...

...not as good as I would have wanted, but I still managed to power up 200 Hive, so am well and truly in HODL'ing mode while slowly building my little nest egg for that rainy day.

The Fabulous Four

One Hive PUD initiative started by @fionasfavourites evolved from Fiona's solo mission to The Power of Three when @coquicoin and I hopped on board to help three qualifying redfish with delegations.
Fiona's kindness has been the inspiration behind the brand-new Fabulous Four when @ifarmgirl joined, and the delegations have now grown to 400 HP each for 21 days!

A big thank you to Fiona for keeping this going despite facing stormy waters.
