Simply Special 2022 Goals
My goals for 2022 are very simple and nothing grand!
Following a harrowing start to 2022 when I went AWOL - Dealing with the Enemy, I'm hoping that I can at least fulfill some of my goals.
First and foremost, I hope to be strong enough to make my 90-year-old-Mom as comfortable as possible during her illness. This is something I should be able to achieve, now that we have Home Angels helping with her daily care.
I would like to take her for a drive so she can hear the ocean waves just one more time.
Who knows, she may surprise us and come back fighting, as she is a very strong little lady!
My next goal is to find time to take a break to the mountains and the oceans, and of course, the cherry on the cake would be the beautiful Cape which offers both of those; we experienced an unforgettable holiday with special friends there just as Covid hit the shores of South Africa!
A place that holds memories of special times with family and friends that I want to visit this year is the tropical paradise at Caribbean Estates on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal as this has become an annual destination and we missed it last year.
I know...I know.... you must all be tired of hearing about this place, but it is a real family favourite!
Heaven on earth is what these goals feel like right now, as both hubby and I are totally drained from trying to nurse Mom on our own, so although we still do the night shift, it's a whole lot easier with having the Home Angels during the day!
Of course, I have a very long bucket list of stuff I still want to do, but these are my goals for 2022!
This has been my unofficial and ineligible entry into the Silver Bloggers #bom Blog of the Month - Bucket List - 2022 Goals.
I really hope to achieve at least some of these goals before the year ends, and if not, then so be it.
Who knows what the future holds; nothing is unachievable if you only allow your dreams to come true!
PS - one last goal which would be the best gift I can give myself and my family, is to start meditating more regularly!

I feel you with your mum, and hopefully with the Home Angels things will get a little less stressful.
Good luck with getting away for an escape and I don't blame you for talking about it, why not! It sounds idyllic.
Thank you so much for your kind words @tengolotodo, and yes the Home Angels are making life a whole lot better and a bit more normal!
I can't wait to have a getaway but will have to be patient!
No problem, if I can think of anything that might help, I shall let you know.

I hope things are a little calmer now that you have the help in the day from the Home Angels. It will never be easy to see our parents or grandparents unable to fend for themselves, but at least I hope you have some relaxing moments that will give you the energy to keep going. And I hope you get to visit this year that special place. 🤗
Thank you so much @coquicoin, I'm sure many of us have walked that path with our parents!
And...that break will definitely happen:)
As I began to read your post, I understood that you were sick I sent an intention of recovery and continued reading.
How similar our longings can be, I live with my mother and my 90 year old grandmother we both take care of her and we end the day exhausted, some days are worse than others, at night when I go to bed I feel very happy to continue sharing with my grandmother, and I also wish to go to the beach with her I would like her to visit the sea, she has year without going.
As I felt identified with your post I decided to go to the link at the beginning which I appreciate very much. I did not know what I was living, your mom is very nice she is a beautiful lady and with the strength of a woman who reached that age, I'm glad everyone is on the road to recovery your mom and your husband.
I send you a hug, take the time you need with peace of mind, thank you very much for being here. @lizelle
Stay strong my friend, thinking of you. Thanks for sharing.
You certainly need a break and of course this time round with your intended visit to the fairest Cape, you know who would be waiting to take you guys for lunch at a wine farm. I am not saying who, but watch my eyes :)
Maybe Lady She.. Oops, a certain good friend who lives here in the mountains will deign to leave her kingdom to come and join us 😄
The nursing stuff can certainly take it out of one and take care that you guys don't burn out my dear friend.
