A journey of improvement - Material and spiritual inheritance meet halfway
After the death of my mother, as part of the inheritance I received from my parents, there is a small house or annex that is next to my parents' house, and which over time has deteriorated due to the humidity produced by the leaks of water found inside the house.
This house is located in a quiet neighborhood in the eastern area of Barquisimeto, surrounded by friendly and supportive neighbors. Despite the financial difficulties I faced in the past, I always found support and companionship in the local community. Together, we organize events and activities to improve our environment and strengthen the ties between us.
Luego de la muerte de mi madre como parte de la herencia recibí de mis padres, está pequeña casita o anexo que queda al lado de la casa de mis padres, y la cual con el tiempo se ha deteriorado por la humedad que producen las filtraciones de agua que se encuentran dentro de la casa.
Esta casa está ubicada en un barrio tranquilo en la zona Este de Barquisimeto, rodeado de vecinos amables y solidarios. A pesar de las dificultades económicas que enfrenté en el pasado, siempre encontré apoyo y compañía en la comunidad local. Juntos, organizamos eventos y actividades para mejorar nuestro entorno y fortalecer los lazos entre nosotros.
Over the years, I have learned to value not only my home, but also the community around me. Participating in community projects, helping neighbors in need, and sharing resources with those who need it most became an essential part of my life. Solidarity and mutual support are fundamental pillars in our community, and I feel grateful to be part of it.
A lo largo de los años, he aprendido a valorar no solo mi hogar, sino también la comunidad que me rodea. Participar en proyectos comunitarios, ayudar a vecinos en apuros y compartir recursos con quienes más lo necesitan se convirtió en una parte esencial de mi vida. La solidaridad y el apoyo mutuo son pilares fundamentales en nuestra comunidad, y me siento agradecida por formar parte de ella.
As I already said, this house belongs to the land where my parents lived, and the place where they raised me and my brothers, and several couples previously lived here over the years, including the talented Saouri Coronado (@sawcraz. art) who started her path on steemit drawing in that same house, the house where my nephew Jose Francisco (@shyruwander) also lived, who doesn't really publish but plays @splinterlands ... and drawing for them also happens to be one of Saouri's favorite hobbies , this portrait belongs to both in making and image.
Como ya lo dije, esta casa pertenece al terreno donde vivían mis padres, y el lugar donde nos criaron a mí y a mis hermanos, y aquí anteriormente vivieron varias parejas a lo largo de los años, entre ellas la talentosa Saouri Coronado (@sawcraz.art) quien inicio su camino en steemit dibujando en esa misma casa, casa en donde tambien vivio mi sobrino Jose Francisco (@shyruwander) quien realmente no publica pero juega @splinterlands y que dibujar para ellos también resulta ser uno de los pasatiempos favoritos de Saouri, este retrato pertenece a ambos en elaboración e imagen.
Since I received that small one-room house, my life has been a constant process of growth and transformation. At first, the house has been inhabited by family and friends who needed a roof over their heads. Despite the difficulties, I always maintained a positive attitude and unwavering determination.
Desde que recibí esa pequeña casa de un solo cuarto, mi vida ha sido un constante proceso de crecimiento y transformación. Al principio, la casa ha estado habitada por familiares y amigos que necesitaban un techo sobre sus cabezas. A pesar de las dificultades, siempre mantuve una actitud positiva y una determinación inquebrantable.
As time went by, the house deteriorated, the walls cracked, the roof leaked and the furniture was worn out so we removed it and the house was left empty. Despite everything, I never lost hope or faith in myself. With each challenge that arose, I found the strength to move forward and look for creative solutions to improve what for many would be their home and for me a source of income to cover the expenses of my father's life and mine.
Con el paso del tiempo, la casa se fue deteriorando, las paredes se agrietaron, el techo goteaba y los muebles estaban desgastados así que los retiramos y la casa quedo vacia. A pesar de todo, nunca perdí la esperanza ni la fe en mí misma. Con cada desafío que se presentaba, encontraba la fuerza para seguir adelante y buscar soluciones creativas para mejorar el que para muchos seria su hogar y para mi una fuente de ingreso para poder cubrir con los gastos de la vida de mi padre y la mia.
My independence grew stronger as I learned to stand up for myself and trust my own abilities. I learned how to repair cracks in the walls, fix the ceiling, and decorate with the little I had at my disposal. Each small victory filled me with pride and reminded me of how far I had come, of course the current condition surpasses me a lot, especially due to the situation in Venezuela.
Mi independencia se fortaleció a medida que aprendía a valerme por mí misma y a confiar en mis propias habilidades. Aprendí a reparar las grietas en las paredes, a arreglar el techo y a decorar con lo poco que tenía a mi disposición. Cada pequeña victoria me llenaba de orgullo y me recordaba lo lejos que había llegado, claro que la condición actual me supera bastante sobre todo por la situación de Venezuela.
Furthermore, this small annex has witnessed significant moments in the lives of many people besides mine. From family celebrations to moments of reflection and personal and even artistic growth, each space has a story to tell. The furniture he has had, the photographs that will be in some Facebook album when he was at his best and reflect his history.
Además, este pequeño anexo ha sido testigo de momentos significativos en la vida de muchas personas además de la mía. Desde celebraciones familiares hasta momentos de reflexión y crecimiento personal e incluso artístico, cada espacio de el tiene una historia que contar. Los muebles que ha tenido, las fotografías que en algún album de Facebook estarán cuando estaba en su mejor momento y reflejan su historia.
Although the house may be dilapidated, my spirit remains strong and my determination unwavering. I know that with my positive energy and independence, I will be able to move forward and overcome any obstacles that stand in my way. It may be small and humble, but it is a reflection of my mother's and now my own inner strength and my ability to face challenges with courage and optimism.
Aunque la casa pueda estar deteriorada, mi espíritu sigue siendo fuerte y mi determinación inquebrantable. Sé que con mi energía positiva y mi independencia, podré seguir adelante y superar cualquier obstáculo que se interponga en mi camino. Puede ser pequeño y humilde, pero es el reflejo de la fuerza interior de mi madre y ahora de la mia y mi capacidad para enfrentar los desafíos con valentía y optimismo.
