LOADREAPER - INTRODUCTION POST

avatar

Hello to one & all I hope you are having a wonderful day wherever you may be.
This is my first time posting on the hive (Ecency), so I would like to introduce myself to all my current and future follows with a nice introductory post. The best way for me to introduce myself I think would be to first start with who is @Loadreaper.
I'm a 29 year old 6ft5in (196cm) single male my name is Barry and I work in the film industry in South Africa and I live with my mother and my niece & nephew, who I'm helping to take care of.

BARRY

I'm a big soft lovable teddy of a man who likes to be as kind as possible to whom ever I meet but of course not everyone is kind back. I live my life by very simple rules which the most important one is to never be indebted to anyone or thing. 2nd- treat people the way you wish to be treated. 3rd- live your life the best you can and don't worry what others think of you. These are three of the simple rules I live by. There are more but they are more personalized to me. My interest's are wood working, Japanese Anime, film making, air rifle target shooting, all sorts of diy projects, drawing, cooking and video games. There are more but these are on the top of my list.

These are some of my diy projects I've done in the past I will so post some of these on (Hive Diy) and show you how I made them.

FILM INDUSTRY

I currently work in the filming industry as a background extra it's a lot of fun getting to wear strange outfits and sometimes meet even stranger people LOL. Most of the people you meet are kind and have very interesting stories to tell. I've been in AD's, Series (Warrior S2, Of Kings And Prophets, Vagrant queen) and Movies ( The Brothers Grimsby, Game changers, Bring it on 6 ) to name a few. The only thing is that the jobs are few and far between so I do odd jobs for people when I'm not on film.

My first shoot I ever did (Zoga coffee AD)

Me and my friend in The Brothers Grimsby movie

SOUTH AFRICA

South Africa is a very beautiful country and I'm glad to be living here we have plenty of nature still surrounding us and beauitful scenery to enjoy. I live in the Western Cape so I'm near the ocean and love to go swimming.

I would say the biggest downside is the cost of living to our work salaries. These day's, unless you have a good connection or are high up in your jobs ladder living a singles life is challenging to say the least but not impossible. But enough of the downers there is so much more happier things to think about.

MOTHER

My mother Denise is a wonderful, loving and kind person who has always been there for me through thick and thin. I'm truly grateful that she is the one who adopted me when my biological mother was unable to give me what she believed I deserved in life and made the difficult decision to give me up for adoption. Of course I don't see Denise as just my adopted mother I have always loved and treated her as my real mother. When I turned 18 I met with my biological mother Charlene and the rest of my family on her side and I'm happy to say we have a good relationship with each other.

Mother Day 2022

MY NIECE & NEPHEW

My niece Anja & nephew Damon are both good kids but like all kids they have their own share of problems. My mother is currently fostering the two little monsters and I try to help out when and where I can. My sister is unfortunately unable to take care of them and there father passed away about 2 years after Anja was born. My sister is not living with us due to circumstances.

And one more thing I would like to thank my friend @zakludick for telling/ introducing me to hive/ecency and helping me to get started and taking the time to show me how to do thing the right way.

Welcome to Hive!

I'm not sure where @zakludick finds all this people. He became an invitation machine. 😅

You got some cool pictures and I think being in the movie industry is fun. But what disturbing was for me as a German, seeing this wig with the German flag around you. 😂 Just kidding.

So, welcome again and keep posting!

Lol, you should not be scared! You should be delighted!

Also it is NOT an automated process... its a lot of work since each person is different.

But check out @loadreaper and @kahunakoala they are the newest. Also check @stevemuis. I did not strictly onboard him, but I am adding him to the "Class of 2022".

Guys that I just tagged, this is @choasmagic23, a cool guy from Germany.

Cheers!

I know it's a lot of work. Most people I know do not write and crypto is a hurdle for some too. So you did well getting these people on board.

Hello guys!

Nice to meet you. Hope you like Hive as much as we do. I will check your profiles later.

I used to work at some studios as a security guard. I met some nice people from TV and movies there.
Strange outfits? I'm pretty sure you love it. 😁

The strangest one so far is when I had to dress up as a hobgoblin with a full prosthetic mask and colored contact lenses. The mask was so hot🤯

Welcome to the Hive community @loadreaper!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hiveans available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Have fun and happy Hiving!

Welcome to hive @loadreaper. I am pretty sure @zakludick would help you a lot. But just extra information, If you have time, You can read some of the communities in this post that you may like : OCD Communities Incubation Program and for all hive communities you can check https://peakd.com/communities

For tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide. The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions.

Have a great day!
