SPLINTERLANDS - HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE LADDER

Hello world and fellow Hivers
Today it's another hot Sunday and I am not on the beach yet, but there is a chance that I am going to leave for vacation the next week for 5-6 days. I hope that I will find the time and money to go off for some time because I really need a break from the daily routine, to be honest. Anyway, this time we are going to view a battle from my daily grind in Wild Format. This particular battle is pretty interesting because we are going to be up against the Summoner Yodin Zaku. The initiative for this post is the Social Media Challenge from @splinterlands.
If you are familiar with the game please skip the next part if you are new to Splinterlands, I will make a summary for you! I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words!
So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain it to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn DEC (basically the crypto-coin of the game), the more you play and you are going up in the ladder, the more rewards you get (such as NFT-cards, etc). If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning DEC and grind for NFT cards and earn more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today one battle for my daily ranked games!

The Battle

Summoner Selection

Most of you that follow my posts about Splinterlands, already know that I always enjoy playing against expensive cards and especially when I beat them with budget options. So the summoner I chose for this battle was Lorna Shine, one of the best cards in Splinterlands in my opinion. The buff Divine Shield that grants to all ally monsters is pretty OP and useful in this battle.

Ruleset

• Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability
• The mana cap is at 38 and we can't choose the Dragon and Water Class.

Team Formation

The first monster I used for this battle is the Chaos Knight. This is going to be our primary tank for our formation and one of the reasons for choosing it is the ability Shield. Also, as you can see at level 3 the stats are pretty OP, 3 attack/speed/armor and 4 Health for 6 mana is pretty good.

The second card I chose to place was Silvershield Knight. This monster is one of my favorite of the Life class because of the abilities Inspire and Piercing. It's a perfect fit when you want to play a Melee Focus team. Also, the value is skyrocketing when you have the ruleset of Equal Opportunity or Super Sneak because he can attack from any position.

The third monster I used was Disintegrator, you know that I love to play that monster when I suspect that my opponent is going to use Meele monsters but when it can attack from all positions is truly a big help. The ability we want from this card is obviously the Demoralize.

The fourth card I chose for this formation was Silvershield Assasin, you can easily spot the combo between this card and the Silvershield Knight. Also, it has two great abilities double strike and sneak. In my opinion, this card is pretty OP and one of my favorites when I'm playing this class.

My fifth pick was Stitch Leech, the main reason that I added an extra monster with Sneak ability was to help the Silveshield Assasin to break through the backline formation of our opponent. Overall I like the stats of this card and that only costs 3 Mana.

The last pick I chose for this battle was Gargoya Lion, the reason was to protect my formation from the backline. Also, the stats of this monster is pretty good and when you have the Opportunity ability is pretty interesting.
