Hello world and fellow Hivers

Today is Monday and for most of you that means that the daily routine is back, but some lucky ones are on vacation and read my blog from the beach. I want you to know that I really envy you guys, I wish I could be next to the sea right now because the heat is just unbearable! Enough with my complaints, we've got a battle to cover up and we will see another battle from my daily grind, the initiative is the Share your Battle Challenge from @splinterlands, and our spotlight card for this challenge is XENITH ARCHER. The Battle

Summoner Selection

The summoner I chose for this battle is Pyre at level 3. It's one of the very good value-for-money summoners for the Fire class, I'm paying for this card 1 DEC/day. Also, his ability to grant +1 Speed, to all friendly monsters is pretty useful and it could make a difference in some battles! Of course, there are many more choices in this class like Yodin, etc but that's up to your budget and you know that I love to show the budget ones!

Ruleset

  • Aim True: Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target
  • Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to the highest health base monster of either team

Team Formation

  • The first monster I used is Furious Chicken, the reason is pretty obvious zero cost 9 Health monster. I think everyone agrees that this is OP.
  • The second monster I used is Antoid Platoon, and this is our main tank for this battle. We wanted the ability Shield from this monster and this is the reason I chose it.
  • My third choice was Goblin Shaman, the ability Weaken is not so great here but it helped a bit.
  • The fourth pick was our main source of damage, the Pyromancer. I mean it's one of my favorite cards from this class because of the Blast ability and the 2 range damage. Pretty useful in situations like this.
  • My last pick was Xenith Archer, this is the card that we should play for the challenge and I can say that I usually use it when there are low mana situations like this and I have to fill the formation with a low-cost card. In this situation was pretty useful because he took the hits from my opponent's sneak monster.

How to approach the battle

When you are dealing with this kind of ruleset, you should always try to play low-cost monsters that have low health and try to take advantage of that. Equalizer gives the opportunity to some cards like Furius chicken, Antoid Platoon, etc to really shine in the battle and you can exploit that for your advantage. I would like to hear your opinion about this and what strategies you usually use when you face this ruleset.
