Jolius Blast: The Best Tank in the Frontier!

Jolius Blast is a Rare Fire Splinter unit from the Arena Vanguard set. He is a powerful Djinn tank inspired by community creator @iblast. I think he is the best tank in the Frontier right now because of his stats and abilities. In today's post, we'll go over his lore, stats & abilities, as well as show a sample battle where he's used effectively.
Lore
Long before the Trinity War, Jolius studied the hidden frequencies connecting flame, stone, magic and souls. His search eventually led him to the fractured Resonant Blade, and when dimensional rifts pulled the weapon between realms, Jolius and the sword became fused. Now wielding the Infernal Resonance, he channels harmonic fire through devastating melee attacks not to conquer but to restore balance.
Stats and Abilities
Jolius Blast's stats and abilities aside, his design is the one I like best among the Arena Vanguards. The dual colored hair, the beard, the fiery eyes and molten lava veins are very cool design.
Jolius costs a huge thirteen mana so his use will be limited to high mana battles. At maxed levels he deals three melee attack and has three speed. As a tank, he has a huge thirteen health that makes him a great card to play in survival rulesets like Noxious Fumes or Burning. His abilities are a mix of magic defense and offense against melee attackers. Void allows him to decrease incoming magic attacks, Enrage increases his attack and speed when he gets hit and Retaliate gives him a chance to counterattack against melee attackers. These stats and abilities make him great both on defense and offense as a tank.
Featured Battle
The battle is between two fire teams in the Frontier. Player silentwill had a max level Jolius Blast in his team giving him a significant advantage. Watch Jolius increase his power with Enrage and demolish enemy melee units with his Retaliate ability. He's a huge addition to the Fire team and one that can sway the balance of battle in one's favor. On the other hand, he is very expensive. He costs more than Frontier legendary cards and a max level Jolius will cost around forty seven dollars ($47)! One can justify that his utility extends beyond the Frontier. With his stats and abilities, he can also be useful in Modern mode.
