Quote of The Day (6)

President Theodore Roosevelt once said,

Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty... I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.

The quote gives an impression of a strong and steady person both physically and mentally. Roosevelt envy towards those who had a hard life is very rare in modern age. In fact a lot of people are focusing to find ways to better enjoy their lives and work less. On the other hand Roosevelt wants the exact opposite in that he likes to face struggles and succeeding.

Some of the key initiatives he pushed for during his tenure as president was the expansion of national parks and national forests. He was also an advocate for use of energy resources as efficient as possible.

A man that wanted to live within his means but all the while maintain his heritage.
