Todo comenzó con la búsqueda de la autenticidad en la línea. No buscaba una representación estricta, sino plasmar la vibración del momento. En esta fase inicial de lineart, mi pulso se centró en la geometría de su sonrisa radiante y la suavidad de un gesto cómplice. Cada curva de su cabello rizado y cada onda del mío fueron trazadas con la intención de reflejar nuestra naturaleza y la alegría genuina de nuestro abrazo.

It all began with the search for authenticity in the line. I was not looking for a strict representation, but rather to capture the vibration of the moment. In this initial lineart phase, my pulse focused on the geometry of her radiant smile and the softness of a complicit gesture. Each curve of her curly hair and every wave of mine were drawn with the intention of reflecting our nature and the genuine joy of our embrace.

Para romper la frialdad del lienzo en blanco, apliqué con delicadeza los primeros rubores de color sobre la piel. No se trató de un simple relleno, sino de un estudio preliminar de volumen y temperatura, donde sombras sutiles en los párpados y el contorno del rostro empezaron a sugerir la tridimensionalidad y la ternura de nuestra cercanía.

To break the coldness of the blank canvas, I delicately applied the first blushes of color onto the skin. It was not a simple fill, but rather a preliminary study of volume and temperature, where subtle shadows on the eyelids and the contour of the face began to suggest the three-dimensionality and the tenderness of our closeness.

Llegó el momento de otorgar identidad a la vestimenta. Seleccioné una paleta de colores que, aunque sobria, vibrara en armonía: un verde boscoso y profundo para ella, reflejo de vida y esperanza, y un lavanda grisáceo y etéreo para mí. Estos bloques de color empezaron a dar peso y presencia a nuestras figuras en la composición.

The time came to grant identity to the clothing. I selected a color palette that, although restrained, vibrated in harmony: a deep, forest green for her, a reflection of life and hope, and a grayish, ethereal lavender for me. These color blocks began to give weight and presence to our figures in the composition.

En esta etapa, la ilustración cobró su verdadera dimensión. Me sumergí en la profundidad del cabello, aplicando los tonos oscuros y esculpiendo el volumen mediante luces superiores que definieron cada rizo y cada onda. Simultáneamente, definí la mirada, aplicando los tonos cálidos en los ojos y marcando con precisión cejas y pestañas, capturando la chispa de felicidad que define el momento.

At this stage, the illustration took on its true dimension. I immersed myself in the depth of the hair, applying the dark tones and sculpting the volume through top lights that defined each curl and wave. Simultaneously, I defined the gaze, applying warm tones to the eyes and precisely marking brows and lashes, capturing the spark of happiness that defines the moment.

Para que el retrato no flotara en el vacío, era crucial situarnos en un entorno que respirara la misma paz que nuestra unión. Esbocé un fondo natural, un idílico día de campo donde árboles centenarios y un camino sinuoso bajo un cielo suave crean el marco perfecto. Los tonos verdes y amarillos del paisaje añaden frescura y profundidad, completando la narrativa de un momento perfecto.

For the portrait not to float in a vacuum, it was crucial to place ourselves in an environment that breathed the same peace as our union. I sketched a natural background, an idyllic picnic day where ancient trees and a winding path under a soft sky create the perfect framework. The green and yellow tones of the landscape add freshness and depth, completing the narrative of a perfect moment.

El acto final, y el más simbólico, fue el trabajo de iluminación. Introduje una luz dorada y envolvente, una caricia solar que baña la escena y proyecta sombras orgánicas (como el susurro de las hojas) sobre nosotros. Esta calidez dorada no es otra cosa que la representación de esa "llama viva": la luz de ella que me inunda, nos envuelve y nos permite, finalmente, brillar al unísono en una misma hoguera de amor.

The final and most symbolic act was the lighting work. I introduced a golden, enveloping light, a solar caress that bathes the scene and projects organic shadows (like the whisper of leaves) upon us. This golden warmth is nothing less than the representation of that "living flame": her light flooding into me, enveloping us, and finally allowing us to shine in unison within the same bonfire of love.
