A not so perfect rising puto but my child finds this recipe delicious and it made my heart happy too
Hello Dear Hivers!Hope you're doing well and fine.Today is Saturday,I'm just at home chillin' and relaxed after all the happenings. It's 10:00a.m in the morning and my daughter was so annoying a bit yelling and saying "mother what's the snacks for today"?I find it lazy to go to the market and we don't have anymore food stocks in the refrigerator.Ive saw this all purpose flour and baking powder and thought of something to cook.So I've decided to make a puto without a cheese.I only utilized what's the available ingredients at home.

So I've tried this recipe that Ive seen in the YouTube
Here are the ingredients I've used in preparing the puto
1cup of all purpose flour
1tbsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 evap milk
3/4 water
1pc egg
1 tbsp butter
After completing and measuring all the ingredients I started to mix it like Im mixing all the dry ingredients followed by the wet ingredients. After its been mixed carefully.I prepared the steamer and start cooking it.And to my surprised
when I opened the steamer. The puto looked like this.

Oh no!I started to question what happened to my puto😌I used to follow the instructions given by the YouTube tutorial but why is my puto not rising perfectly.

So I started figuring it out why puto Gone wrong!

Im almost done cooking the second batch of puto but still got puzzled as to what would be the reason why it's like this!

So I got worried maybe kids wont like my steamed puto.So it's cooked and when I served it to them.So glad in their comments that they find it delicious and tasty. The kids loved it so much.

This kid also find this steamed puto yummy even if it's "tikoy" in our dialect.

So I've searched for an answer as to what happened in this puto why it didn't rise perfectly. So maybe of the following reasons. The baking powder is old and not sealed properly in its container and another reason was maybe I over mixed the batter when I made it.
Anyways my heart was still happy because these kiddos were enjoying eating this puto even it it's gone wrong.Hehe
That's all for today's blog..See you in my next blog journey.

I remember when I cooked before because it had the same texture as this.
It’s proof that even when things don’t turn out perfectly, love and effort always make food special. Your kiddos are adorable and their happiness is what really matters.

You can give this recipe a try...but make sure you won't over mixing the batter and you're baking powder is new not an old stock to ensure a perfect rising puto
