One Day Vacation

Last week, my friends invited me to go on a one-day vacation. The plan was to stay overnight at a vacation house they rented in Alfonso Cavite.

They said we'd only stay overnight and they just wanted to get together, so I agreed. We left Manila around 11:00 PM and arrived in Alfonso Cavite around 2:00 PM, as it's quite far from the City of Manila.

I remembered our spontaneous road trips and overnight stays while we were on our way to Cavite. We used to do that a lot when we were still single and didn't have families yet.

Many of my friends are still single, and I'm happy that they still remember to invite me because I might want to join them.

We enjoyed our time at the rented vacation house. It had a swimming pool and an entertainment area where we could do karaoke. There was also a bonfire area if you wanted to warm up because it gets cold here at night.

The next day, we headed home. Since it was already lunchtime, we decided to eat at Mahogany Market, where the "Beef Bulalo" is delicious. I also bought some souvenirs for my mom.

In the afternoon, they also suggested grabbing coffee for a while at Starbucks Reserved Tagaytay, where there's an overlooking view of Taal Lake.

The journey home was long, but we didn't experience heavy traffic.

I arrived home around 6 PM, feeling the tiredness from the trip even though I didn't drive.

It's fun to travel out of the city once in a while. It helps take your mind off things and relax.

Soon, when my baby is older, I'll travel more often. For now, he doesn't enjoy these kinds of outings much yet.
