Bolek: Merchant of Moonlight

Today, my bat character has taken flight in a whole new way. Look closely at this revised design - a dramatic transformation from yesterday's basic draft.

This isn't your average bat hanging from a dusty rafter. This is Bolek, a bartering bat with an eye for exquisite fabrics. He's a merchant of the night, his dazzling white fur illuminated by the moon as he showcases his wares.

Bolek's outfit is a masterpiece in itself. A deep purple, furry tunic drapes over him like a bat's outstretched wings. Atop his head sits a pointed hat with a long red tassel, a touch of whimsy against the regal purple. For warmth and a dash of elegance, he sports a thick lilac scarf adorned with sparkling crystals. Even his footwear is no afterthought - pointed black shoes with gold bows and metallic trims complete the look.

Bolek isn't just about bartering; he's about presentation. His unique style perfectly complements the luxurious carpets and silks he offers. He's a walking advertisement for his nocturnal business, a charming and confident bat ready to make a deal.

^Here is how I made this albino bat character:*

First I doodled a basic shape to keep me going… this isn’t how it ended

Then I immediately got this idea of big ears from which came the image of a bat which is very different from my initial doodle. I want it to wear a big chunky scarf in lilac at this stage. I am thinking warm and thick furry clothes

This is the finished image that I posted yesterday. I had drawn a lot of lines to achieve that furry look. Too much details added to bring it to life. Notice how small the teeth are you could not see them from a distance that is why today I decided to edit

I love how the teeth are visible now, I increased the width of the snout a bit then added a little depth on the mouth and lips. I added a gold necklace with a nice pendant

Yesterday the shoes lack details and are looking flat. I changed the tip to make them pointy. I added golden bows and intricate trim on the edges

I wanted to add some sparkle on the scarf so I put these teardrop crystals that twinkle like the stars at night.
