Starry Friend – A Little Night Magic

I finished this drawing for my own interpretation of the prompt: Starry Friend. There is something about the quiet dark of a field at night, the way the sky suddenly throws a party of falling stars, and one tiny farmer who simply cannot resist reaching up to the sky. She stands on tiptoe, arms wide open about to hug the whole meteor shower. The stars streak in warm oranges, soft greens, and gold, like the sky is sending down friendly little gifts and she is determined to catch every single one.I wanted her to feel hopeful and a bit ridiculous at the same time believing the universe might actually notice her waving hello back. She is greeting them like old friends finally coming to visit
