5 Things We Should Forget for us to become Effective Content Writer Here on Hive

avatar

Source

Before going any further I would like to share to you the image above in which by just looking at those 3 points would somehow help each writer on Hive make one dollar or more on each of their contents.

I will not elaborate on this but I strongly recommend to visit this article by @sidwrites perhaps to learn more effective strategies, after all the main and primary purpose of each and everyone here is to earn few bucks which for some it is an easy task but for a lot more its something very hard to achieve. That is why to make it easier we must learn a lot of things.

However, as I understood in the recommendations of @sidwrites making a dollar should not be our first priority perhaps in our first few weeks on Hive. Or shall I say we should focused our attention more in making money but instead let us enjoy writing quality contents in our perfect sweet spot. I agree with him and I'm doing my best to at least write once every single day.

I believe that as we go along with our daily activities on Hive, enjoying writing and collaborating with the other content writers around, what we aim in the first place will surely follow, not just 1 dollar but even more without us knowing it.

So let me talk about the following points one must bear in mind in order to achieve our goal and be successful on Hive. (It seems that the secret is to forget everything but not your name of course haha I'm just joking😁)

  • Forget the rewards
  • Forget the surroundings
  • Forget those language barriers
  • Forget using fancy words
  • Forget everything you know

FORGET THE REWARDS

So let's start with the first point. Honestly this one makes me smile and truly hoping I could get over with this. I've been with this platform for quite some time already and if i will consider my comeback its been almost two months since I started here on Hives.

To tell you the truth, I was really addicted on clicking my wallet and so with the notifications a lot of times every time I'm online.

Not only that, I felt guilty even more because every time I publish a content I used to wait for the rewards, yes literally wait for my rewards to grow such that if there's no significant movement I am discouraged to write again. This I know is wrong. We should not be motivated with the rewards only although I admit its not easy, as for me and maybe true also to a lot of Hiveans even if my contents are not attractive to all I did invest my time and effort in it.

But then I would like everyone to bear this in mind:

...it is important to shift your focus from money to delivering value and committing yourself to a challenge - @sidwrites

FORGET THE SURROUNDINGS

Being a social being it is one big mistake for us to think too much about the surroundings or about what other people think or will say about us.

We tend to live to the expectations of others. Maybe in real life it could be just fine for some reasons but I also believe that in this platform, it's better to forget the surroundings. Let us not entertain doubts and fears caused by what people might say about our contents.

The result of self-doubt is always on the negative, it will make us weak and will eventually make us deteriorate and become unproductive.

So if if no one appreciate you? don't be discouraged just keep on writing and improve yourself, time will come you will surely reap the fruits of your labor.

If your surrounding doesn't appreciate your work (NO) then you are creating a self-doubt within you. Most people live in this self-doubt for years. - @sidwrites

FORGET THOSE LANGUAGE BARRIERS

I admit I have issues on this, I am so preoccupied thinking about how I write and how I deliver my thoughts in English language because obviously English is not my first language.

Honestly I envy those content creators who speak English fluently and effective just like @sidwrites even if he told us that English is not his first language but as you can see in his contents he is more than an expert and I wanted to be like him.

Well I learned this from him too, I should not think too much about how I speak and deliver my thoughts and ideas, this time it doesn't matter anymore. I will continue to write even if people won't appreciate it or even look down every content I made.

FORGET USING FANCY WORDS

I strongly agree, sometimes when we used strange words people get confused and in my end, it makes me want to see a dictionary or search on google the exact meaning of the word. Is it must better if when we read we automatically understand everything without seeking help from other sources?

FORGET EVERYTHING YOU KNOW

This is like deleting everything stored in your mind and start to create a whole new world. Oh what I am talking here 😁. What I mean is that if we know a lot of things or if we think we are good on anything, it is better to forget about it and humble yourself, in that way you can do better in so far as creating content is concerned.

Because the moment you forget everything, it becomes so much easier to start something new — you will start filling your mind with new thoughts and new ideas. - @sidwrites

So that's all folks, this is supposed to be a comment to the article published by @sidwrites but I find it long to just be a comment so this is it. I hope you learn something from this humble post of mine.

The best thing that we can do to learn new things and improve our works is to read and read more, eventually we will be able to create an extraordinary post, I haven't done it yet fully but for sure we will master everything through constant practice, let the submission of blogs every day be our training, again soon we will reap the fruit f our labor.

Please follow @gems.and.cookies you will learn a lot from him too.

Thank you, I will continue to follow and learn from your contents, there's just one that I am having a hard time, creating those personalized images, I need to spend more time to know how to do it.

Right. You don't have to make these images right away. See my old post - just normal images. Then I used arrows and colors.

And 3 months later, you see the changes. Let's keep up with the momentum! :)
