Pelacor Arbalests are armed with powerful crossbows enchanted to fire bolts at extremely long distances. They are trained to wield a crossbow in each hand and can fire both simultaneously with deadly accuracy. Compounded with the Pelacor's excellent eyesight and nimble dexterity, these sharpshooters are extremely useful as snipers on the battlefield.
The Silver Shield Knight backpedaled, parrying blow after blow as the two Venari snarled and swung their swords at him in a savage and ruthless onslaught. He stumbled. Another blow sent him reeling. He fell onto his back.

Story

The Venari leaped upon him, swords raised. He struggled to lift his own sword, but he couldn't fight them both. He was going to die.

The feathered shaft of a bolt slammed into center of each Venaris' chest simultaneously. The pair crumpled in a heap, unseeing eyes staring at the sky.

The Silver Shield Knight squinted into the sun. Above him, a Pelacor Arbalest hovered, his large white wings beating at the air. In each hand, he held an empty crossbow, still aimed at the fallen Venari.

Overview

The Pelacor Arbalest reside within the Life Splinter and such General Sloan is the perfect choice for him as a Summoner, because he gives +1 Ranged attack to him. On its own the Pelacor Arbalest doesn't have too much protection, but the rest of his Life family has a lot of option to get some protection.

I do not play too much games with the Life Splinter, because it is quite expensive for me, but after several games I realised that this Splinter has got a lot of potential. I am playing in gold league most of the times and this is where it shines the most. 😉

Stats and abilities

• The flying ability is cumulative with Dodge and Blind, to get up to + 65% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
• Snare can remove Flying. Does not work against enemies that have Flying itself. It does not affect magic attacks.

The Pelacor Arbalest is a pretty good damage dealer with his +2 Ranged attack from Level 1 until Level 7. The Double Strike makes him doing a lot of damage especially if you play him with General Sloan.

He doesn't have too much Health, so he requires some protection from other monsters like the Silvershield Sheriff or Tower Griffin, because they give +2 Armor to everyone in their team. 😊

The Shieldbearer can use his Taunt ability to lure all the damage from the rest of his team Pelacor Arbalest included.

Market prices of the Pelacor Arbalest

If you are going to burn and delete from the existence this card will yield 20 DEC if it is a regular card and 500 DEC if it was a gold card. (I have no idea why would you that, but as you can see below there was 1 gold card burned by a missclick and 83 regular cards were burned! 😲 )

This card value decreased a lot in the last 3 months and maybe this is the time to grab few copies for yourself. 😎

The upcoming Battle ruleset

Hint: Keep a no attack, Magic or Ranged monster in position 2 with Shield, Void, Magic Reflect, Return Fire. Triage helps a lot in this ruleset. 😉

My lineup

General Sloan gives +1 Ranged attack to all of his monsters and that means a lot, because the Life Splinter has got a lot of excellent Ranged cards. 🏹
	The Blinding Reflector is an excellent low mana cost tank, because he cost only 3 mana and allows me to put him in low mana battles or put more mana monsters in my backline. He has the Magic Reflect ability, which is a perfect choice against Obsidian or few Magic attack creatures. 😉
I didn't realise that the Pelacor Conjurer is such a good card until I started using him on higher levels. He cost only 2 mana and he has quite high speed, which allows him to dodge or absorb a lot of incoming damage. 😇
	Djinn Renova is an excellent all around monster, because she has Triage, which will heal one of the damaged monster in my backlin. She also got the Strengthen, which will increase the Health to all friendly creatures as well. Like the cherry on top she has 3 Magic attack, which makes her a complete powerhouse. 😁
The Pelacor Arbalest like I said before is the main damage dealer in this team composition and it is very difficult to mitigate the damage he deals to the enemy monsters. The only drawback is that he need a good level of protection, but as long as he lives the chance for your win is growing. 🤗
	I always try to include the Lone Boatman into my team, because he has +3 Ranged attack and also has the Armorer ability, which will restore some armor to a friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage in every round. This is such a huge deal that many times decides the battle beforehand. 🛡
I included the Celestial Harpy into this team, because I ran out of mana and this little beast cost only 2 and gives me the chance to hit the weakest (lowest health) monster in my opponent team using her Opportunity ability. 😇

The Battle

This is one of the first battle when I stepped into the Gold league and it looked a difficult battle as Kelya is one of the strongest summoner in the game at the moment. Thanks to the Target Practice ruleset his Ice Pixie shooted my Pelacor Conjurer and he immidiately reflected back that damage killing the Ice Pixie instantly. 🤣

In the end of the first round the Pelacor Arbalest killed their support healer leaving them vulnerable for the upcoming rounds.

His Igor Darkspear suddenly died as well thanks to the cooperation of Djinn Renova and the Pelacor Arbalest. I said that before that it is difficult to withstand so much damage. 😁

As soon as the Djinn Oshannus died the door was open front of my damage dealers and they easily finished the job leaving me be the Victorius. 😎

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to protect the Pelacor Arbalest in the center and giving him enough time to damage down the monsters of my opponent, which worked quite good. I wouldn't change much as my winrate were 100% against this team composition. 😇

I always loved the Pelacor Arbalest and I always tried to play with him, but if I want to be honest there is many thing that could kill him easily and such it is always risky to play with him. Unless you have all the cards at your disposal you might be able to give him some protection. 😇
