Zoom thanksgiving service 12/6/2021
Good day everyone. Today is 13th June 2021.
Today's thanksgiving service was really great.
These are some of the lesson i learnt from the service.
It is a good thing to sing praises to God.
*Psalms 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
God has blessed us like no other creature, for we are enriched in all knowledge and utterances.
*1 Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Each day that added that added to our lives,we should be thankful.
We should be thankful for His mercies upon our lives. By His mercies we are preserved.
*Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Christ is our hope so that we can win our battle by the special grace of God.
*Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Truly God is been so good unto us
*Psalms 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 105:2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 105:3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
In Him,we can find no fault. He is good and His mercy is everlasting.
We give thanks for His
gift. Gift that can't be bought with money. There is no richness that can be compared with the blessedness of His gift.
*Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
While we have the opportunity we should do good to people.
*Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
There is exceeding happiness over a soul that repents.
*Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance..
While we are yet sinners Christ died for us. Let us cherish the reconciliation with God that we receive which can not be compared to any earthly treasure.
*Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Let us be more concern about the welfare of the brethren.
*Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Jesus shows and taught the true love and let's thank Him for this love and peace that reigns in the heart of the brethren.
*Colossians 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
It is good to always offer praise continually with our little ones. He is the one that gives children.
*Matthew 21:26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
*Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
God would bless us and our children as we continue to serve and worship Him.. Let's us therefore lead and teach our children to be thankful.
*Jeremiah 30:19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Anxiety would give the devil opportunity to shake our faith, so we should be anxious for nothing, but we should be calm in God ie lets cast all our anxiety to God.
*Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
*1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
God is faithful to His promise, hence let's continue to do good.
*Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Being with the right team is also very important ie with the true believers and victory would be ours.
The enemy would always want to inject doubts in our mind, lets remain calm in God. His mercy and power are everlasting.
*Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Sometimes, what we need is to search and try our ways instead of putting blame on God. It is possible that there are things we are not doing rightly
*Lamentations 3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
