Rapunzel Simpsons Style

Hi guys Lorentm is back to show you another Simpsons style drawing inspired by Disney characters, this time I chose Rapunzel from the animated movie Tangled, I remember that years ago I had designed this same character but in another style, Rapunzel was inside the Tower holding her frying pan and accompanied by her pet companion Pascual, for this new design I wanted to do something different, show her in her window contemplating the floating candles that were launched from the castle and that every year she admired causing her much curiosity and admiration.

In this work I wanted to focus a little more on the scenery and the elements that compose it, when I was developing the tower, I started with a common outline and when I painted it I noticed that it looked very poor and dull, despite having the effects of lights and shadows, then to give it a touch more "realism" I drew in its structure several random marks to simulate the texture of wood, definitely this detail changed the whole drawing and it turned out better than I expected. What made me think to do more this kind of textures, it gives a more original touch to the works. What do you guys think? Did you like this detail? I'll read you in the comment box 😊

Hola chicos Lorentm esta de vuelta para mostrarle otro dibujo al estilo de los Simpsons inspirado en personajes Disney, esta vez elegí a Rapunzel de la película animada Enrredados, recuerdo que años atrás había diseñado este mismo personaje pero a otro estilo, se encontraba Rapunzel dentro de la Torre sosteniendo su sartén y en compañía de su mascota acompañante Pascual, para este nuevo diseño quise hacer algo diferente, mostrarla en su ventana contemplando las velas flotantes que lanzaban desde el castillo y que cada año ella admiraba causándole mucha curiosidad y admiración.

En esta obra quise centrarme un poco mas en el escenario y los elementos que la componen, cuando estaba desarrrolando la torre, empecé con un delineado común y al pintarlo noté que se veía muy pobre y apagado, a pesar de tener los efectos de luces y sombras, entonces para darle un toque más de “realismo” trace en su estructura varias marcas al azar para simular la textura de la madera, definitivamente este detalle cambió todo el dibujo y resultó mejor de lo que esperaba. Lo que me hizo pensar realizar más este tipo de texturas, le da un toque más original a las obras. Que piensan ustedes chicos? Les gusto este detalle? Los leo en la caja de comentarios 😊

Rapunzel es una joven princesa, quien obtuvo un poder mágico en su cabello gracias a que su madre temo el elixir de una flor mágica, su cabello podía sanar cualquier enfermedad, gracias a esto fue secuestrada por Mama Gothel, quien la tuvo encerrada durante 18 años en una torre en el bosque.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

• Android tablet.
• Capacitive pen (Stylus).
• Ibis Paint X program.
• Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
