We agree on that discovery. Being together, without necessarily being the same point, creates a new energy within us and around us.
Lying on the meadow we become part of the landscape, we listen to the chirping of the cypress trees populated by birds, the rustling of the dried ears of corn moved by the wind, and your CDs complete that symphony with your precious presence. The cool atmosphere of Counting Crows, the melancholic rage of David Gray, the sensual madness of Tori Amos, the cheerful sadness of Dave Matthews Band, the maternal intimacy of Sarah McLachlan, the traditional joy of Ray Charles, the hysterical joy of Nathalie Merchant and the energetic happiness of Stevie Wonder.
That harmony is filled with the sound of our friends around us sharing those three months suspended in time. The guitar accompanies the night parties on the lawn in front of the house and replaces the fire of our still feeling like a tribe. On that natural terrace in front of the cottage, between the lawn and above the remains of an animal trough, we enjoy the simple beauty of being in the world. That place is filled with magic for the simple reason that it is not unique, that it is a place like so many others where for a while a few human beings simply shared their path before losing themselves again in their lives. For three months, that place becomes a theatre for the discovery of human relationships, a meeting point. By a series of coincidences, those lives, coming from all over the planet, meet on that hill. Everything is coloured by a sense of the absolute, at least that is how it was for me. The energy that spreads through those lives will be with them for a long time to come.
Thinking back to those days, I still remember the secret we discovered - how much energy there is in sharing, even for just three months, a dream, an idea, an Experiment with other human beings.
That energy turns into creativity, into a desire to discover our virtues and to deepen our knowledge of the world. Accustomed to living in the city, that return to the earth and nature awakens in us lost, archaic emotions. Walking barefoot, eating the fruits ...

Conveniamo su quella scoperta. L’essere uniti, senza essere necessariamente lo stesso punto crea un’energia nuova dentro di noi e intorno a noi.
Distesi sul prato diventiamo parte del paesaggio, ascoltiamo il cinguettio dei cipressi popolati di pennuti, il fruscio delle spighe secche mosse dal vento e i tuoi CD completano quella sinfonia con la tua preziosa presenza. La fresca atmosfera dei Counting Crows, la melanconica rabbia di David Gray, la sensuale follia di Tori Amos, l’allegra tristezza dei Dave Matthews Band, la materna intimità di Sarah McLachlan, la tradizionale gioia di Ray Charles, l’isterica gioia di Nathalie Merchant e l’energica felicità di Stevie Wonder.
Quell’armonia si riempie del suono dei nostri amici che intorno a noi condividono quei tre mesi sospesi nel tempo. La chitarra accompagna le feste notturne sul prato davanti casa e sostituisce il fuoco del nostro sentirsi ancora in una tribù. Su quella terrazza naturale davanti alla casetta, tra il prato e sopra i resti di un trogolo per gli animali, godiamo della semplice bellezza di essere al mondo. Quel posto si riempie di magia per la semplice ragione di non essere unico, di essere un posto come tanti dove per un po’ di tempo alcuni esseri umani hanno semplicemente condiviso il loro percorso prima di perdersi di nuovo nelle loro vite. Quel luogo diventa per tre mesi teatro di scoperta di relazioni umane, un punto d’incontro. Per una serie di coincidenze, quelle vite, venute da ogni parte del pianeta, s’incontrano su quella collina. Tutto si colora di un senso di assoluto, almeno così è stato per me. L’energia che si diffonde in quelle vite li accompagnerà ancora a lungo.
Ripensando a quei giorni ricordo ancora il segreto che abbiamo scoperto ovvero quanta energia c’è nel condividere, anche solo per tre mesi, un sogno, un’idea, un Esperimento con altri esseri umani.
Quell’energia si trasforma in creatività, in una voglia di scoprire le nostre virtù e di approfondire la nostra conoscenza del mondo. Abituati a vivere in città, quel ritorno alla terra e alla natura risvegliano in noi emozioni perdute, arcaiche. Camminare scalzo, mangiare i frutti ...

Una comunione con le piante, gli insetti, gli animali, il sole, i sassi, la vita della foresta che è già dentro di noi
