The 2:17 a.m. Mystery, A Quick Weapons Fan Art

Hey guys I was absolutely got hooked watching a 2025 film titled Weapons. I had to pause and do a quick doodle to capture one of the main characters of this horror film

The inspiration behind my doodle
This piece is the character who gets entangled in the center of the mystery and the parents' rage. The inspiration came after a particularly brutal scene where the parents confront her at the school meeting, accusing her of being "complicit" in the disappearance of the children. The stress and blaming thrown at her at that moment and the horrifying fact that seventeen children disappeared at 2:17 a.m. is what I tried to put into this sketch. This is also the best angle to capture her face.

If you have watched the film can you already tell who is she?
The woman in my doodle is the third grade teacher Mrs. Justine Gandy played by Julia Garner. I wanted to focus on her state under the immense pressure of suspicion. Her coping mechanism are right here in the drawing: the two bottles of vodka she grabs right after that devastating school meeting. I think these make it easier for me to depict her character better on my doodle otherwise this is just a blonde curly haired woman in a blue blazer. She is clinging to her celphone with that cute star charm I think these would help me define her even more, maybe she is receiving hateful messages on her phone.
