Hive Guerilla Marketing#001 Giving MrBeast his own Crypto: The BEAST token.

avatar

How come we are sitting on one of the best block chains out there, run by the most tight knit community in crypto land, boasting some of the best dapps currently in existence and hive is trading for less than 1000 satoshi at the moment.

Well, when i was in business school i was taught about the 3 P's:

Product: No question there, we have a kick ass product.

People: Once again a slam dunk, i have never seen a group of people more commited than those who made Hive their home.

Promotion: Uuuuh what? I don't know how to code that.

So according to the principles of marketing, there are only 3 things stopping us from making a huge success out of Hive and those are: Promotion, Promotion, Promotion.

When Henry Ford asked people what kind of transportation they wanted, they replied “A faster horse”. These are the times we are living in, people need to have their noses rubbed in crypto before they realise it is something they want to be a part. A good thing that rubbing noses is exactly what i want to achieve with this new series.

So what can i do, on a limited budget, to do my part in getting the word out?

Well, those who know my Dcity Helper posts have seen how a relative small gift can have a big impact, so giving small gifts is going to be my M.O in this series as well. But what kind of gift is there within our hive ecosystem that could be of interest to outsiders, something that comes cheap, but seems like a big deal?

And then it hit me: Hive-Engine

For a mere 100 BEE i can create a token for someone and give it to them. At current hive prices that is only $12 dollar, but it might just be just the thing they didn't know they always wanted: Their own crypto currency.

The next question was who i should target and it didn't take me long to decide to go for famous youtuber's. They have a large following and having their own crypto would give them possibly some nice content for their next video. Exactly the kind of buzz i would like to create.

So i went to Hive-Engine and created the first of these giveaway tokens: BEAST

After all, MrBeast build his empire by giving away money, cars, houses, etc, so if anyone could appreciate my giveaway crypto it should be Mr Jimmy Donaldson himself. For good measure i linked his merch shop: www.shopmrbeast.com to the token and wrote him the following e-mail.

Ofcourse his private mail was nowhere to be found, but i mailed to the support address ([email protected]) on the merch shop in the hope it was unusual and interesting enough for them to pass it on to him.

Now a few things can happen:

  1. I do not get any reply. No worries I will try again and again and again until they are sick of me and pass it on just to get rid of me.
  2. I get a reply from the merch store that they are not interested. No problem, i only lost 12 bucks giving it a try.
  3. I get a reply from his legal representive telling me I am not allowed to use MrBeast's name, logo and url. No problem, i will re-state my intentions and express that i will gladly hand over the ownership keys for free, or remove all links to MrBeast if he so desires.
  4. I get a reply from MrBeast himself, asking what this is all about.

To increase the chances of triggering MrBeast i would like to ask all of you who think this is a good idea to leave a comment on the latest video on his channel and on his gaming channel MrBeastGaming. The comment should include the token name (BEAST) and that it is on Hive-Engine. Also like all other comments about BEAST others made, so they pop up in the lists. The more references to the BEAST coin he sees, the bigger the chance he will look into it.

Please let me know in the comments what you think about this particular form of guerilla marketing and if you do make a comment on one of his video's, please share a screenshot as a comment on this post and you will get 100 BEAST tokens yourself.

I'd like to thank @onealfa , @rollandthomas , @thegoliath , @ecoinstant , @jrcornel and everybody else who supports my posts, your votes matter and help me give away more and more on each new post!

This is really out of the box to try
something like that.
At least you are selling yourself (promotion)
Second you write about it and someone may send him a link (promotion)
Third we know who you are, Mr Beast and Beast token should be happy to have a PR like you (promotion
we need more initiative like this.
Great Luck for going this route.

You have a good heart, pay it forward appears to be your theme. Your concept is a brilliant marketing strategy to introduce people to crypto, and to Hive blockchain. Having one's own coin seems really legendary. Mine would be called Jules.

Here is my comment on Beast's YT page: YT comment for Hive engine Beast token.png

Many thanks from Jules
