Frames From The Abia's Ultra-modern Bus Terminal.

Happy hump day, folks.

Remember my reflection photos from the new bus terminal in my state a couple of weeks ago? I promised to share more, and I guess today's the perfect time.

The new ultra-modern bus terminal, named after Prof. Nnenna Oti, the 2023 Abia returning officer, was a landslide project by the Governor, Alex Otti.

Located at Umuahia, Abia State capital, the terminal was built to become the new central transport hub in the city - all inter-state parks are consolidated in one place. It has a capacity of 340+ buses and other cars at once.

So I had travelled with some women from my support group from Aba to Umuahia. We were on a courtesy visit to our State Party Chairman.

We boarded the new electric coastal bus, and I must say, the ride was so smooth and comfortable, I didn't even realize when we arrived Umuahia. We were dropped off at the new terminal. It was my first time there and the facility itself was impressive — clean, spacious, modern, and very different from what I was used to. World class, I'd say.

We were to wait for other women to arrive, so I took the time to stroll around the facility, and was amazed by what I saw. I took some pictures and here the are:

The environment was neat and beautiful.

It was actually drizzling but I didn't mind. I needed to get a good look at the facility. 😂

There's the loading bay, the waiting lounge, the ticketing office, the car park, security post and all. I checked the convenience and it was so cool. 😂

And the staff were friendly and on top of their tasks.

The waiting lounge.

The loading bay

The electric bus shuttle.
Has functioning AC, comfortable seats, and even charging points to power phones.

The shuttle pilots. See how they're dressed. 😂

This bus terminal is everything and I really commend the brains behind it. It has helped put my state, Abia, in the limelight.

Glad I had the opportunity to take a look around the facility. It was an enjoyable experience.

That's a wrap.

This post is my contribution to #wednesdaywalk and also my entry for Around the World Challenge.

Yeap 👍😊, it's a beautiful facility to behold and one of its kind in this state, ever.

I heard it's a project and an innovation from Tunubu, he's the financier to the project, to cushion the negative and harsh realities created by subsidy removal to the generalty of Nigerians.

I also heard that such standard stations are built in all the 36 states of the federation, not only in Abia and not from the cofers of our state but from the federal government pause.

Oti is just fortunate it's happening in his tenure, but he has not taken time to explain this details to us,

making the citizens to think and believe that it's his project. He suppose to tell us about the reality concerning it.

I have been there once, try to get to my village some months back, so much delays are encountered there, but it's a befitting project for us Abians.

I pray the next Abia state governor will not destroy everything that Alex Otti has built. It's great to see a working government, also, what an edifice as well.

Yeah, that's our utmost wish. The new development must continue.
Thank you.
