Cold Mocka Coffee - Recipe to brighten up your day

A veces las cosas no salen como las tenemos planeados, pero no todo es tan malo como parece, esta es una forma muy extraña de comenzar un post de una receta, pero describe perfectamente como me siento despuĂ©s de haber pasado mucho rato en mi cocina tratando de hacer un cafĂ© frio. La verdad es que hacer un cafĂ© frio no es muy complicado si tienes lo ingredientes correctos, pero a mi me gusta inventar con lo que no tengo y me suelo estresar en el proceso mientras intentaba hacer este cafĂ© para alegrar mi dĂa.
Sometimes things don't go as planned, but not everything is as bad as it seems, this is a very strange way to start a recipe post, but it describes perfectly how I feel after spending a lot of time in my kitchen trying to make a cold brew coffee. The truth is that making a cold brew coffee is not very complicated if you have the right ingredients, but I like to invent with what I don't have and I tend to stress myself out in the process while trying to make this coffee to brighten up my day.
Ingredients I used:
- Leche en Polvo
- Café en Polvo
- Chocolate
- AzĂşcar
- Agua
- Powdered Milk
- Coffee Powder
- Chocolate
- Sugar
- Water
Primero estuve haciendo el café, en mi casa lo hacemos de una forma bastante tradicional utilizando un colador, primero coloco a hervir agua, en el colador añado unas 3 cucharas pequeñas de café en polvo, en esta oportunidad estuve utilizando el Café Amanecer, no es mi marca favorita pero es bueno. Cuando el agua comenzó a hervir el agua la fui añadiendo al colador, poco a poco, el café comenzó a salir en un chorrito. Lo deje reposar y luego lo lleve a la nevera para que se enfriara.
First I was making the coffee, in my house we do it in a very traditional way using a strainer, first I put water to boil, in the strainer I add about 3 small spoons of coffee powder, in this opportunity I was using Café Amanecer, it is not my favorite brand but it is good. When the water began to boil I added it to the strainer, little by little, the coffee began to come out in a trickle. I let it sit and then took it to the fridge to cool.
Mientras esperaba que el café se enfriara me puse a hacer el chocolate y la leche. Para el chocolate tome una taza de agua, añadà 1 cucharada de cacao en polvo y 3 cucharadas de chocolate instantáneo, también 2 cucharadas de azúcar, lo estuve mezclando en la licuadora. Para la leche neceaste unas 4 cucharadas de leche, una taza de agua y dos de azúcar.
While waiting for the coffee to cool I started making the chocolate and milk. For the chocolate I took a cup of water, added 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of instant chocolate, also 2 tablespoons of sugar, I was mixing it in the blender. For the milk you need about 4 tablespoons of milk, one cup of water and two cups of sugar.
While waiting for the coffee to cool I started making the chocolate and milk. For the chocolate I took a cup of water, added 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of instant chocolate, also 2 tablespoons of sugar, I was mixing it in the blender. For the milk you need about 4 tablespoons of milk, one cup of water and two cups of sugar.
DespuĂ©s que todos los ingredientes estuvieron frĂos, solo necesitaba unirlos todos en un vaso, primero le coloque el chocolate más denso por todo el vaso, esto queda mucho mejor con sirope, pero como no tenia me toco improvisar con maicena y cacao en polvo. Luego añadĂ el cafĂ©, seguido del chocolate y por ultimo la leche, despuĂ©s de mezclar con una cuchara estuvo listo para tomar.
After all the ingredients were cold, I just needed to put them all together in a glass, first I put the thickest chocolate all over the glass, this is much better with syrup, but since I didn't have any, I had to improvise with cornstarch and cocoa powder. Then I added the coffee, followed by the chocolate and finally the milk, after mixing with a spoon it was ready to drink.
Mi dĂa estuvo super extraño, sabia que necesitaba mucho cafĂ© en mi sistema para poder alegrarme, pero ya habĂa tomado unas 2 tazas de cafĂ© caliente en la mañana, asĂ que esta fue una buena idea. El cafĂ© frio no es mi primera opciĂłn, lo disfruto a diaria de forma caliente y solo cafĂ© puro, pero de vez en cuando es bueno. Me encantarĂa hacer esta receta con mejores ingredientes, no pienso rendirme con respecto a los cafĂ©s frĂos, asĂ que despuĂ©s de comprar algunos productores tratare de hacer otra receta. My day was super weird, I knew I needed a lot of coffee in my system to cheer me up, but I had already had about 2 cups of hot coffee in the morning, so this was a good idea. Cold brew coffee is not my first choice, I enjoy it daily hot and just plain coffee, but every now and then it's good. I would love to make this recipe with better ingredients, I am not giving up on cold brew coffee, so after I buy some producers I will try to make another recipe. I hope you liked it, see you soon!
