Modern Chess Game: Strategic Mobile Battle

MC.png

If you're a fan of Strategy games, the classic Chess would be the most basic fundamental of it all. As simple as its objectives are, the game-winner will be determined by those whose foresight is far ahead of his opponent. Even though I love strategic games, I suck at playing the classic chess game and so I just played other strategy games like basketball! 🤣

On this blog, I want to share the game that I'm currently on which is kind of addictive. In every game, I get to choose different strategies based on different heroes with skill sets combining with other heroes with similar synergy that will help me win the game. This is Mobile Legends: Magic Chess

The Evolution

Who would have thought that a simple classic chess game could be revamped into something modern? The first time I knew about this type of "Auto-chess" game was when Dota 2 released a mod on their platform, creating a new set of rules, and using their own Dota 2 Heroes. After a while, newer games from different developers emerged like TFT in League of Legends and the one that I'm currently playing is with Mobile Legends: Magic Chess.

The Magic Chess

Magic Chess is one of the game modes launched in Mobile Legends, in which heroes are based on the original game. In this game, (8) eight different players will battle each other to eliminate one another in a round-robin setting.

The BattleField

Each player will be given (3) three randomized heroes at the start of the game. As the player wins per battle, As the game progresses players can purchase heroes from the shop, acquire equipment, and upgrade the commander to increase the number of heroes that can be placed on the battlefield at a maximum of (10) heroes.

The Synergy

In this game, each hero belongs to a specific faction and role which is called Synergy. Different heroes also have unique skills based on the game of Mobile Legends itself. Collecting heroes with the same synergy will increase its Synergy count and grant synergy effects, The higher the synergy counts, the better the Synergy effect will be achieved to help win the game.

The Lineup

Before starting the game players may pick their chosen Commander, currently, there are a total of 27 Commanders available and each has its specific ability that can be used to player advantage.

The Heroes used in-game have different unique skills that are based on Physical and Magic damage, each of which has a categorized positioning either FrontLine and Backline. There are also tiers for different heroes, ranging from white to common, green, blue, purple, and gold. Higher-tier heroes have a lower chance of finding them in the shop.

The Shop

In every battle, the player will be given a limited time to strategize and purchase heroes which can level up, by combining (3)three of a similar kind, and can be upgraded three more times to reach its maximum level.

The Strategy

Finding the best suitable Commander that is perfect for Synergy that a player would want to use in a single game. Strategy comes with patience, good positioning of the heroes, managing the gold upkeep, and the right timing of upgrading the commander. Strategic decision-making mixed with luck and adapting to the ever-changing meta of the game. Making this game, challenging and awesome at the same time!

I had never heard of this game and maybe it's because I'm not a mobile gamer. However I think that the way you describe it can be very entertaining.

the game is mostly popular in Asia, maybe that's why, but it has a similar concept to Auto-chess in Dota and TFT in LoL.

Hello. Welcome and thank you for your contribution into the gaming photography community.

The graphics and background looks too similar to League of Legends. So, this mobile chess game came before League of Legends?

We look forward to see more of your special gaming moments.

hi! From what I've known LoL came before this one, I think the mobile version of the TFT on LoL was just recent, I am not sure about the one on PC, and yes, this game is so similar to League of Legends, even the MOBA gameplay it has close similarity.

I'm tying out different combinations of the synergies, hopefully i get time to post some reviews about it 🤘
