Taking good pictures is one of the things I learned to do when I joined the hive platform. Pictures are important here because they help make our articles more interesting, they help to convey ideas and make our works much more easy to comprehend and they also help to authenticate our claims. Example if you claim to be a farmer or a teacher, showing pictures of you in the farm or pictures of you in a class would really go a long way in making people believe that you're indeed what you say you are and they would love to follow you because you have proved that you're truly an authority in that field or niche.

Before I joined hive, I wasn't very much interested in pictures, although like everyone else, I loved good pictures but I really didn't care to learn how to take good shots myself.
When I joined hive, I saw a lot of beautiful and clear pictures and I also understood the importance and benefits of using good pictures in our articles, I then began learning how to take photographs for myself. I learnt by checking out what others did and I also learnt through the internet.I formed a habit of taking pictures wherever I went to, I took pictures of places, things and people. I took pictures randomly and on impulse too.

As days went by, I began to love photography and I got better at it. I got to like macro-photography( photography of tiny things like insect and other tiny living organisms),my only constraints was that I didn't own a professional camera and had to make do with what I have (my phone camera).

One tactics I love and employ a lot to make amazing pictures is Perspective.
Perspective in English language basically means point of view. Similarly, In photography perspective has to do with angles. It has to do with how you position yourself and the camera when taking a photo. Amazing images can be made from ordinary objects because of perspective. I learnt about perspective and I have employed it a few times to produce wonderful photographs. For this week's writing suggestions of the weekend engagement concepts ( #weekend-engagement ), I choose the green weekend and hence I will be showing you two amazing pictures of some beautiful green flowers I took from the surrounding.

In the picture above, I employed the concept of perspective. I took an aerial view and see how amazing it came out. It just seems like a green sun🌞. This flower is called the Agave angustifolia.

The flower here is called cryptomeria.
It is also one of the random pictures I took while I was learning photography. It's also a flower I found around.

Hey! @luckydrums , your pictures are indeed beautiful. I love the picture of the agave flower, the angle you took the shot really made it beautiful. It's indeed a green sun. I will try to adopt this technique and see how it goes for me. Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed reading your post
