Hello my dear hivers, how are you all today ?.
Today I will be starting a series of lessons on personal finance and self development. I promise that you will be so glad you checked it out because your life will change for better after you follow through with these lessons.
Starting today, I am teaching you about some financial self-care habits. These are habits you need to cultivate if you plan to grow your income continuously. They're things you should know if you plan to grow bigger financially, they will help to shape your mindset to that of a millionaire. So let's check them out.

Health insurance:

You do not need to have millions before you get a health insurance. Whatever little money you have, there's alway one for you. Having this insurance ensures that when you or a member of your family is down with an ailment, you can comfortably afford treatment without making a well in your pocket.

Invest :

I used to think investment involved big sums of money so I never bothered to consider it until much recently. You do not have to own a lot before you can invest. The little money which you have and consider meager can go a long way. There's shares, stocks, bonds etc, just look for any one that aligns with your income and start from there. Few years down the line, you'll be glad you did. Make your money work for you

Little drops:

Save! No amount is too small. Just set aside something daily, weekly, monthly, whenever you earn an income and watch it grow.

Know where your money goes:

Track your expenses. It helps you know what percentage of your money goes to what. There are apps that help with that. I personally have a journal where I write how much I spend on a particular thing. I can tell you correctly and confidently how much I have spent(to the lowest ) and for what. When you know where your money goes, you know what to cut down on - if necessary.

Raise your financial goal standard:

See beyond your income. When I wish to save a particular amount of money, I set the amount higher than what I want. Seeing the figure pushes me to work a lot harder.

Set a budget amd stick to it:

I never buy things on impulse. For everything I buy, I will have thought of it's importance, made a budget for it while working towards getting it. That way, I don't have mixed up priorities. Everything follows a process.

Diversify your income:

Create as many income streams as possible. Start something, build it up. Then try another. Joggle as many jobs as you are capable of.

Have a money circle:

It's a lot easier to build your finance when you associate with people of like minds. I remember when myself and a few of my friends saved a fixed amount every day. It was very very little sum but at the time, it was huge money to us. One of us held the record book where the amount and the date a person remitted her cash was registered while another held the cash. It boosted and gingered us to save(you don't want to be the one with the lowest figure). It was sort of a competition, but a healthy one. When you belong in a group that constantly have great money discussions and ideas, chances are that you wouldn't want to lag behind therefore, you actively participate.

Empower yourself:

Money answers people who show value. Learn a craft and perfect it. Read that book. Watch that video. Get whatever training you think is necessary. Attend that seminar. Get a mentor if you wish. Start something and build it up. Don't hold back. Don't sit back. Do what needs to be done.

Mindset:

Tell yourself that wealth is for you. That you can start anything and be the best at it. There are so many people out there making it big. So, why can't you?

Some persons are living their dreams. Some aren't. Some may be lucky. Some already have old family money. Some would go ahead to start a financial journey and finish up well. Some wouldn't. Some will start with what they have and create the life they please for themselves. Others will choose to wait until they have every resource at their disposal. The world is full of different stories.
But, it's all we do with the knowledge we garner that matters. So, while you keep hoping for the big break, start working on the little things so if/when it comes, it's just going to be a bonus. You can start working your way up the ladder, and if it meets you halfway, great! But if it never shows up, at least, you're not where you were before, not at the bottom.
A win-win situation sort of.

Celebrate your progress:

For every financial milestone you reach, do something nice for yourself. You deserve it.

These are some important habits we all need to cultivate if we plan to rise beyond our financial level. They're really important and essential. Habits take a while to form. It takes time, energy and effort but once formed, they last forever. This is something worthwhile, so take the step,do it day after day, with time you'd get there.

Thanks for reading.
Good-day! . See you in my next lesson.

Amazing!
These are very practical and useful tips.
I guess I am on the right track as I currently do all of those save for having a health insurance. But I am on it.

Good finance habits require determination and effort. With those, one will definitely thrive.

This was worth the read.
Thanks for putting this out here.
Well-done!

These are some very good tips, I just have to fix my impulse buying and I’m good. Then there’s also the fact that saving little by little doesn’t encourage me. The small drops mindset isn’t sitting so well in my head. I just underestimate the compunding😅
