MY LOCAL LANGUAGE ( IGBO) AND CHINESE(MANDARIN) WOULD DO

We all know how important language is. It is the way to the heart of any group of people.
Language is the most vital unifying factor.
The famous south-African ex-president Nelson Mandela once said

"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart."source.

This tells us how we are wired to love and give more consideration to people that speak our languages more then others who do not.

Language is basically a system of communication that is accepted and understood by a large group of people. It may be through words or expressions.

There are thousands of languages in the world and although we find people that speak several languages,we are often times born to naturally speak and understand one.

I am from a tribe in Nigeria called Ibo and we speak a language called Igbo. I was born and raised in a land far away from my people ( the Igbo people) and can't speak the Igbo language very well.

Although English is the official language of my country and knowing would suffice for most needs and in almost all situation, if I had to learn another language it'll definitely be the language of my people - the Igbo language.

The Igbo language is really beautiful. It is sweet to hear and speak and it has this melodious sound.

Learning my local dialect would mean a lot to me. Infact it will be a dream come true. I feel sad that I can't relate with my people in such deep level and I'm rid of the pride and fulfillment that comes with knowing my local language . I always admire people who speak there local languages and wish I could speak mine fluently too. I wish to identify and relate more with the people of my hometown.I wish to help preserve the culture of my people.
I hope to one day retire to my people and help develop them in the ways I can and not knowing how to speak the language will be a huge setback.
It's quite had to relate to and with any group if you don't speak their language. language brings acceptance. It's the main core of every culture.

I still haven't given up and wouldn't give up. I would still try and I hope that one day I would learn and know the language excellently.

If I was to learn another language, it would be Chinese. The official Chinese language is called "Mandarin". I find Chinese very hilarious but I love it. Whenever I listen to them, I always hear things like chin-chin, tom-tom, nyaaa😀😀. I find it really funny but lovely.

Another reason why I chose Chinese is because of the fact that China has now become a technology hub and also a major world producer. China is now known as the fastest growing economy and most of the trades in the world is between China and other nations. I love business and would want to be a global businessman amongst others. Learning Chinese would be a great asset as it would really help me understand and relate with the people of China. It would help my business thrive even more.

So it's "Igbo" and "Chinese" for me.
