WHY THEY CALL ME LUCKYDRUMS

I had always known that I love drummers and that I also love to drum,but one thing I really didn't know was that I could play the drums so well. Because of the love I had for drumming, I had planned that I was going to hire a drummer to teach me how to play. I really wanted to learn the instrument. It fascinated me alot.

Although I had always paid attention whenever I heard other drummers play the drums and I had also wished to one day be a drummer myself, I was always afraid of going close to the drums because I didn't think I could play something reasonable. I didn't want to make a mess of myself.

Things changed one day when I went to clean the church with my mum. That day there was no one in the church but myself, my elder brother and my mum.

After we had finished cleaning and while we were resting and unwinding. My mum told my brother and I to try and see if we could play the drums. It was nothing serious, we just wanted to have a little fun.

This time, I wasn't so shy or scared because we were the only ones in the building. My brother mounted the drums first and I waited till he was done playing.

When it was my turn to play, I mounted the drums and as I began playing, everyone including myself was amazed at how I could play so beautifully. I played very beautiful and complex beats. Beats not expected of a child my age. Things just came out so naturally, my hands danced around the drums so effortlessly. It was like magic, as if someone was controlling me somewhere. I didn't even think of beats or how to play them. It was as if I had previously attended a drum lesson. My mum sang and danced so rigorously. She was so happy for me. My elder brother was really impressed too, he said that I was talented.

I was so super excited, the remarks from my brother and mum changed my life. I was more confident and deliberately decided to pursue a career path in drumming and music.

That was how I discovered that I could play drums. After that day, the shyness and fear reduced greatly and subsequently I was given the name luckydrums because of how well I could play the drums. That was how my music Journey started and it's been a beautiful one ever since.
