[ENG] My story with McQueen began when my friend César and his family asked me for support to take care of him while they went on a trip for a couple of weeks, around the year 2017. A matter that became customary during each trip they made. At the end of 2018, after a trip, César's mother approached me to give me the news that they would soon leave the country and did not have the possibility of taking McQueen, raising the idea that he would be part of my family in a way permanent.

[ESP] Mi historia con McQueen comenzó cuando mi amigo César y su familia me pidieron apoyo para que lo cuidara mientras ellos se iban de viaje un par de semanas, por ahí en el año 2017. Cuestión que se hizo costumbre durante cada viaje que realizaban. Para finales del 2018, luego de un viaje, la mamá de César se me acercó para darme la noticia de que pronto se irían del país y no tenían la posibilidad de llevarse a McQueen, plantéando la idea de que formara parte de mi familia de manera permanente.

[ENG] At first, the relationship between Kafu and McQueen was not the best, they could even get into a fight if one of them invaded the other's space or if one took an object from the other. But while they walked together their relationship became closer, thus, accustoming them to share the same space, to be combed together and to go out as a family, they became closer and Kafu accepted him as part of his wolfpack.

[ESP] Al principio la relación entre Kafú y McQueen no era la mejor, incluso podían llegar a pelearse si alguno invadía el espacio del otro o si uno tomaba algún objeto del otro. Pero mientras pasearan juntos su relación se hacía más estrecha, así, acostumbrándolos a compartir el mismo espacio, a ser peinados juntos y a pasear en familia, se hicieron más cercanos y Kafú lo aceptó como parte de su manada.

[ENG] Today McQueen is 12 years old, his bones probably ache most of the day, he enjoys lying down most of the time, but is still active every morning to walk around San Antonio with Kafu and Luna. And while Luna concentrates on walking fast and looking for interesting things while she walks, Kafu and McQueen go at a calm pace, without rush, and if it is necessary to stop a few minutes to wait for the other it will be a pleasure to do it for the other.

[ESP] Hoy McQueen tiene 12 años, es probable que le duelan los huesos la mayor parte del día, disfruta estar acostado casi todo el tiempo, pero aún así está activo todas las mañanas para pasear por San Antonio junto a Kafú y Luna. Y mientras Luna se concentra en caminar rápido y buscar cosas interesantes mientras pasea, Kafú y McQueen van a un ritmo tranquilo, sin apuro, y si es necesario detenerse unos minutos para esperar al otro será un placer hacerlo para el otro.

[ENG] It was not in my plans to have McQueen in the family, but it has been a real pleasure that it was! He is a noble man, educated and quite friendly. If I had to decide to adopt him again, I would do so with much more confidence than the first time.

[ESP] No estaba en mis planes tener a McQueen en la familia, pero ha sido un verdadero placer que así fuera! Es un señor noble, educado y bastante amigable. Si tuviera que decidir adoptarlo de nuevo, lo haría con mucho más seguridad que la primera vez.
