My take on a Pixar classic: Monsters, Inc.

Hello, friends. Today I want to talk to you about one of my favorite animated movies, I'm talking about Monsters, Inc. from 2001. A true masterpiece from Pixar that caught my attention from the very first moment.

When I first saw this movie I was in my teens and it fascinated me in such a way that I had to watch it again several times. I still do and it still impresses me.

What makes Monsters, Inc. so special? It is very well conceived. It accomplishes something very difficult, making comedy for all ages in an animated film. But that's not all. I'm more than sure that as a child many of us wondered what happens in the closet when we turn off the light? Well, this movie gives an answer that is as original as it is entertaining: it's actually populated by adorable monsters who work for a company that is in charge of scaring children to generate energy in their world. Well, maybe not all monsters are adorable.

Every self-respecting movie has at least one villain. From the beginning we can see that Randall Boggs, a cunning monster with characteristics somewhat similar to a lizard, would cause some problems. A character that despite being a cartoon, earned my disdain from the beginning.

But the best is offered to us by Mike Wazowski and Sulley, one of the iconic couples that stand out for many qualities, besides their charisma. Mike, with his one eye and his small-but-brave attitude, and Sulley, with his imposing size but immense heart, form a duo that is impossible not to love. There are few animated duos that complement such a compelling friendship as these two. Also playing an important role is Boo, the adorable little girl who steals everyone's heart and shows us that not all monsters are evil. Providing a touch of innocence and complementing bonds of friendship and love.

These three characters made me empathize with them from the beginning. The gestures, expressions and more than one funny moment keep me from turning my attention away, no matter how many times I have seen this movie.

The animation in Monsters, Inc. was spectacular for its time. Pixar has always been known for their attention to detail and their ability to create wonderful worlds, and this film is no exception. For sure there are many details, but the expressive faces of the characters and the diversity of monsters with a certain mythological touch, is unparalleled. Maybe I'm wrong, but different characters are represented in this imaginary world, some of them already known as: Medusa, Yeti or Cyclops.

The main plot is exciting and full of adventures, except for some moments where it becomes somewhat monotonous. Although it would be unfair not to describe this film as great and original. The abundance of imagination is evident when it takes us to a world where monsters are afraid of children.

In addition, this film manages to make us able to see monsters in a different way. It manages to change our perspective of some scary beings. I love the way it teaches children and adults about the importance of empathy and understanding.

Monsters, Inc. is a movie that has it all: an original premise, endearing characters, impressive animation and a heartwarming message. It makes you have a good time, with laughs and pleasant moments. Of course, when watching it we must be attentive to all the details, as it has so many epic moments that you will need to watch it more than once.

Greetings friend, this is one of the best Disney movies they have released and in my case I have seen it many times and it is a very pleasant and interesting story as the monsters are the ones who take power over everything. Beyond that, it leaves very good lessons and is perfect for all ages, the good thing is that the story continued, but thinking about how good it is, it should be the second one haha.

For me this classic will never go out of fashion in fact although the second part does not have much to do or continue the original story.
