El día de hoy, les comparto mi resumen y opinión personal acerca de un anime que vi hace mucho tiempo y que se convirtió en uno de mis favoritos.

Today, I share with you my summary and personal opinion about an anime that I watched a long time ago and that became one of my favorites.

Given es un manga de género Shōnen-ai, en donde se narra la historia de un joven llamado Ritsuka Uenoyama; atraído por cierta afición por la guitarra y la música. Uenoyama, pasó la mayoría de su vida, trabajando para ser uno de los mejores guitarristas.

Given is a Shōnen-ai manga, which tells the story of a young man named Ritsuka Uenoyama; attracted by a certain fondness for the guitar and music. Uenoyama spent most of his life working to become one of the best guitarists.

Tanto fue su talento con la guitarra, que Haruki Nakayama, le hizo una propuesta para hacer una banda juntos. A lo que Uenoyama aceptó y era hora de encontrar un baterista apto para la banda; Akihiko Kaji, era la persona indicada para este papel; creando así la banda que llevaba por nombre "The Seasons".
Este trío de talentosos y guiados por el amor hacia la música, se pusieron en marcha para dar a conocer a su banda. Cada uno de ellos, durante su trayectoria como banda, tuvo un desarrollo increíble en donde puedes empatizar y sentir cada emoción.

Such was his talent with the guitar that Haruki Nakayama made him a proposal to form a band together. To which Uenoyama accepted and it was time to find a suitable drummer for the band; Akihiko Kaji, was the right person for this role; thus creating the band that was named "The Seasons".
This talented trio, driven by a love of music, set out to make their band known. Each of them, during their journey as a band, had an incredible development where you can empathize and feel every emotion.

Un día común y corriente, en la vida de Uenoyama, se encuentra con Mafuyu Sato y sin saberlo, este se convertiría en la razón por la que su corazón volvería a sentirse vivo.

One ordinary day in Uenoyama's life, he meets Mafuyu Sato and unbeknownst to him, he would become the reason why his heart would feel alive again.

Mayufu estaba consiente de que Uenoyama era increíble tocando la guitarra, así que decidió pedirle que lo ayudara a convertirse en un gran guitarrista, a lo que Uenoyama se negó y Mafuyu pasó muchos días insistiendo, tanto así que lo siguió hasta el lugar en donde la banda ensayaba cada día.

Mayufu was aware that Uenoyama was amazing at playing the guitar, so he decided to ask him to help him become a great guitarist, to which Uenoyama refused and Mafuyu spent many days insisting, so much so that he followed him to the place where the band rehearsed every day.

Uenoyama aceptó ayudar a Mafuyu a tocar la guitarra; un día, mientras se encontraban en las escaleras de su colegio, Uenoyama notó que Mafuyu tarareaba una canción con tanta dulzura y sencillez, que terminó cautivándolo de una manera mágica y hermosa. Tanto fue lo que sintió en ese momento Uenoyama que aparte, sintió miedo, porque era un sentimiento que nunca antes había experimentado, era algo nuevo para él.

Uenoyama agreed to help Mafuyu play the guitar; one day, while they were on the stairs of his school, Uenoyama noticed that Mafuyu hummed a song with such sweetness and simplicity, that ended up captivating him in a magical and beautiful way. Uenoyama felt so much at that moment that he also felt afraid, because it was a feeling he had never experienced before, it was something new for him.

Pasó el tiempo y la atracción de Uenoyama hacia Mayufu se iba a incrementando cada día. Uenoyama acude a su compañero de banda, Akihiko, para pedirle ayuda sobre lo que estaba sintiendo en ese momento. A lo que este le responde lo siguiente:
Akihiko: Tu cara dice que te gusta Mafuyu.
Uenoyama: ¡¿Soy raro?!
Akihiko: Para nada, ¿qué es lo raro? ¿Qué te guste un chico? ¿Piensas qué es obligación que te gusten las chicas?

Time passed and Uenoyama's attraction to Mayufu increased every day. Uenoyama goes to his bandmate, Akihiko, to ask for help about what he was feeling at that moment. To which he replies as follows:
Akihiko: Your face says you like Mafuyu.
Uenoyama: Am I weird?!
Akihiko: Not at all, what's weird? That you like a boy? Do you think it's an obligation to like girls?

Cosa que me pareció muy valiente de su arte haber descifrado cada sentimiento que sentía, ya que no fue fácil para él, admitir que sentía cosas por Mafuyu.

I thought it was very brave of his art to have deciphered every feeling he felt, since it wasn't easy for him to admit that he had feelings for Mafuyu.

Un dato curioso, es que a Akihiko, también siente atracción por personas se su mismo sexo.

A curious fact is that Akihiko also feels attraction for people of the same sex.

También agregándole que su compañero de banda Haruki, llevaba sintiendo cosas por Akihiko desde hace un tiempo y era complicado para Haruki, ya que Akihiko, no correspodía a sus sentimientos.

Also adding that his bandmate Haruki had been having feelings for Akihiko for a while and it was complicated for Haruki since Akihiko did not reciprocate his feelings.

Con el tiempo, Mafuyu fue desenvolviéndose con los chicos de la banda, hasta el punto de mostrar un talento que llevaba oculto; su voz.
Mayufu tenía una voz dulce y potente, tanto así que podías sentir cualquier emoción al escucharlo cantar.
Tan increíble era su voz, que los chicos le propusieron ser el vocalista de la banda y se estarían presentando frente a un público.
Mafuyu tenía que componer una canción para ese día, pero los chicos tenían un poco de dudas, ya que faltando pocos días para la presentación, Mafuyu aún no había escrito ni un línea.

Over time, Mafuyu was getting along with the guys in the band, to the point of showing a hidden talent; her voice.
Mayufu had a sweet and powerful voice, so much so that you could feel any emotion when listening to him sing.
So incredible was his voice, that the guys proposed him to be the vocalist of the band and they would be performing in front of an audience.
Mafuyu had to compose a song for that day, but the guys were a little hesitant, since with only a few days left before the performance, Mafuyu still hadn't written a single line.

Para la sorpresa de todos, llegó el día de la presentación y Mafuyu demostró ser una pequeña joya en el escenario, interpretando "Fuyu No Hanashi".
Personalmente, fue uno de los momentos más increíbles del anime, cada sentimiento podía sentirse; la nostalgia, fue una de las emociones más relevantes en esta presentación y se pudo notar, además de que te pone la piel de gallina su voz.

To everyone's surprise, the day of the performance came and Mafuyu proved to be a little gem on stage, performing "Fuyu No Hanashi".
Personally, it was one of the most incredible moments of the anime, every feeling could be felt; nostalgia, was one of the most relevant emotions in this presentation and it could be noticed, besides that it gives you goosebumps with her voice.

Al finalizar la presentación, Uenoyama quedó atónito ante aquel Mafuyu que nunca antes creyó que podía salir a la luz; fue tanto el éxtasis en ese momento, que Uenoyama no lo pensó y besó a Mafuyu con todo el amor que sentía hacia él.

At the end of the presentation, Uenoyama was stunned before that Mafuyu that he never thought could come to light before; it was so much ecstasy at that moment, that Uenoyama did not think about it and kissed Mafuyu with all the love he felt towards him.

Aquellos sentimientos que mostró Mafuyu mientras cantaban, ocultaban un dolor inmenso que aún podía seguirlo en todo momento.
Su ex novio y primer amor, Yuki, había fallecido unos años atrás y Mafuyu aún seguía lidiando con todo aquel dolor que abundaba en su corazón; lo que no sabía, era que, Uenoyama, estaba ahí para demostrarle que podía devolverle todo aquello que había perdido.

Those feelings that Mafuyu showed while they were singing, hid an immense pain that could still follow him at all times.
Her ex-boyfriend and first love, Yuki, had passed away a few years ago and Mafuyu was still dealing with all that pain that abounded in her heart; what she didn't know was that Uenoyama was there to show her that he could give her back everything she had lost.

Al final de todo, Mafuyu revela sus sentimientos ante Uenoyama y terminan conviertiendose en pareja.

At the end of it all, Mafuyu reveals her feelings to Uenoyama and they end up becoming a couple.

Aunque al principio fue difícil, ya que sus compañeros de banda temían que una discusión entre ellos, terminara con la banda o algo por el estilo.

Although it was difficult at first, as their bandmates feared that an argument between them, would end the band or something like that.

Personalmente, Given es un anime que puede causarte muchísimas emociones y demuestra que para amar, no se necesitan etiquetas.
El amor es un sentimiento hermoso y compartirlo con la persona correcta, lo hace más especial aún. A pesar de que Uenoyama y Mafuyu tuvieron un final feliz, no se puede olvidar que Haruki aún sentía cosas por Akihiko y era difícil para él, pero, tampoco podía forzarlo a amarlo de la misma manera.

Personally, Given is an anime that can cause you a lot of emotions and shows that to love, you don't need labels.
Love is a beautiful feeling and sharing it with the right person makes it even more special. Even though Uenoyama and Mafuyu had a happy ending, you can't forget that Haruki still had feelings for Akihiko and it was hard for him, but, he couldn't force him to love him in the same way either.
