A City of Deceit - A Short Poem by @luizeba after being tired on playing RPG in Baldur's Gate and wanting to go to Avernus instead of staying in that stupid city in which everything goes rogue...

A City of Deceit

In a city of deceit, where lie's the game,
Adventurers found life was never the same.
They tired of the scams, the thieves in disguise,
Their patience wore thin, frustration in their eyes.

A choice they now faced, so bold and stark,
To venture to Hell, through the fierish dark.
For in the inferno, where devils dwell,
They hoped for honesty, to escape this city's spell.

Infernal flames, a devil's trade,
Seemed a better deal than the city's charade.
Though Hell may scorch, and torment their soul,
It couldn't match the city's relentless toll.

Through the portal to the hell, they'd go,
To escape the city's unending woe.
For in Avernus' inferno, or wherever they'd roam,
At least they'd find truth in the fiery home.
