" The early bird gets the worm" . An idiom that states that those who are early benefits. I just had to use this idiom as I was early but usually, I am not this early. I love getting up early but I seldom do. So on this day, I guess, for a long time, I had become an early bird. I did not get much worms (food) however, many stalls do not open this early.

Good morning, it's a Wednesday. This month has one week to go before we head into October 2022.

So it's early and it's dark. But it's also calm. Not many cars on the road yet. Why am I up so early? I was sending my parents to the airport. They had a flight at 6:55 am. The boarding time on their boarding pass is 5:55 am. So we had to leave the house at 5am.

Drove around town to check out if there was any shops that had opened early.

Finally found a shop that was near the airport and it was opened.

In the store, an old man in his seventies ordered food. This is what it looks like at 5:30 am in the morning. I guess, most are still at home sleeping.

Some cars pass by outside. But not many. Me, still dazed. Had only slept a couple of hours cause I was excited to wake up early. There were others who were there.

Nothing beats going to places like these early in the morning. I am still adjusting my time to wake up. I guess, it's more productive.

This is what I ate. Sarawak's own addictive food. It's addictive.

Mom also ordered the noodles.

My dad got his hair cut a couple of days ago.

The best haircut for man. The bald look. Clean.

If Anthony Bourdain was still alive, this is the place that he should have at least visited once.

Early in the morning, when everything starts. The best time of the day. Then wait for a bit when dawn comes. Watch the lights come on. The sun starts shining. Hot. After that, it was off the the airport.

Miri's airport

It is not huge but it's neat. I mean clean. There were some passengers at this moment of time. It was 5:50 AM. The best thing to do is to sit on an airplane this early in the day. Get to the destination and begin the day.

Opposite the airport is this

Hotel. Apartment. I guess, both. A couple of years ago, a lady jumped off this building during a police raid of drugs. But still it's a popular place to stay for a night since the opposite is just the opposite.

OFF and into the airport
