Meet Delilah the crocodile. The local resident crocodile here in Brunei. Crocodiles are native to Borneo. There are lots of crocodiles in Sarawak too. I wanted to see if I could spot this little crocodile that is quite famous. It usually rest by the riverside. Is it dangerous? As long as you don't go near it.

Reptiles are beautiful. If I could, I would have a pet crocodile. But it's too dangerous, so that's out of the question. Wow.. Look at the beautiful patterns on its body. Lots of little roots that pop out of the mud of the mangrove.

How to see this crocodile?

If you do visit Brunei, go google: Supa save Riverside, then you'll see this bridge. Walk up this bridge and if you're lucky, it's going to be there.

Are there more crocodiles here?

Yes. If you dare, take a boat ride. The locals know where they are. Maybe you'll meet one face to face. Has there been crocodile attacks in Brunei? Yes. But rarely. It's a question of probability.

If the water look brownish and still. Then, chances are that a crocodile may be lurking beneath the waters.

Coexistence between nature and humans.

The crocodile as it rest on the muddy soft soil. Those pointy things are roots. Aerial roots that help mangrove plants to get enough oxygen in their system as this place is constantly in waterlogged situations.
