Durian Puffs

Kuching is filled with lots of wonderful hidden gems. The only thing is to find these hidden places. If your a fan of anything Durian, this is the food court that you'll have to drop by to enjoy these delicious puffs. I was in Kuching some while ago and this was one of the places that I had stopped before heading to the airport to catch a flight back to Miri.

This is a huge food court. You'll just have to plot in the coordinates in on Google maps and you'll be able to get here very easily. It was still bright when we arrived.

There were some hungry customers waiting for their food but weren't many. Opposite this food court, the view of a premium apartment. There was a plethora of food stalls here to choose from and it wasn't easy to choose.

I ordered a glass of ice coffee latte. Full of ice just to cool down my body as well as get some caffeine.

Pancakes with meat

This stall sells delicious pancakes with meat on the inside. We had to get ourselves one to try it out just to evaluate it if it lives up to flavour and quality.

Pancake with hot dog on the inside.

The best time to consume this is usually when it's still hot and soft.

Then , we got ourselves oyster omelette

I love oyster omelettes. Wherever there is a restaurant or a food court that has oyster omelettes, I would definitely try to get there.

Eggs and meat and sticks. What could go wrong?

Golden Fried Durian

I've never eaten Durian puffs before. Durians, yes. But not fried Durians in puff. A picture of an Orangutan. I guess, he is happy to be there.

My wife

Enjoying our meal before heading to the airport. We were heading back to Miri.

Delicious dessert

Lots of fruits, longans and haw inside.

An oyster omelette

Oysters cooked perfectly with some flour and eggs into a pancake. The best type of street food here. They even cut this into small little bits for easy consumption.

The crowd of people increasing as the night grew darker.

Durian Puff

Durian puffs made with fresh durian flesh and wrapped in a crispy pastry shell deep-fried until golden, served hot with a dusting of icing sugar. The crunchy exterior and the creamy interior is heavenly, the aroma of durian is irresistible.

After our meal, it was time to get to the airport. Time to fly off. =) Back to Sarawak.

Hope that you enjoyed reading this.

I haven't tried Durian in my entire life, even though a part of the Philippines produces it. Anyway, this place is the perfect spot for people who love to eat. I haven't heard of a pancake with meat inside. It looks tasty, though.
