The annual food festival is back here in Miri. Lots of sellers all over the state of Sarawak come here to set up stalls to set up businesses to sell for around two weeks. I saw a lot of tourists that come here to try out the food. This time around, they've got lots of chairs and tables.

A satay stall

It is just somehow mesmerizing to see someone barbequing food. The temperature has to be right. The smoke somehow adds to the taste. It's peculiar to imagine the smoke being part of the taste.

Cute performances

There were costume performances. This guy is in a costume. He's here usually for at least a couple of hours. So I am not sure how hot it is inside his suit. It must be hot. The Sarawak weather. It isn't cold at night. So, how does he earn money? He has this bucket in front where people can donate to him when they get a photo taken with him.

Never knew that a robot could be good pals with a bear.

Lots of stalls

There are lots of stalls here. There is definitely something for everyone here. The crowd gathers here in droves. Everyone is eager to get a hold of their favorite food.

This stall looks pretty attractive. It is yellow.

Somehow yellow color always gets the attention of the public eye. I guess, we sometimes get consciously drawn to these.

You can also touch them. I guess that's one way to soothe the mind.

A city here

Lots and lots of people come here every day for the two weeks. The parking lots were full. I had a hard time finding parking.

The stall specializes in fried squid and squid-related food

This stall is quite popular and lots of people buy their fried squid.

Ayam King

These stalls sell lots of food that have chicken in them. I guess all chicken lovers would definitely love this stall.

Premium beef cube

I am not a fan of beef so I am not sure if these cubes are premium. But what is impressive is that before they serve it, they use this burn the beef cubes.

This is what the food festival here looks like. This is a yearly thing. Lots of people get busy setting up stalls here. Lots of people eating. Next year before the next food festival.
