Hatyai : A beautiful place

I drove a couple of hours around the city and finally the last stop; I parked the car somewhere around the city. Before I arrived here at the city, I pumped petrol. It was quite expensive. About USD 30. It was only from the half tank of the car. In Malaysia, A half tank cost a lot less. Maybe around 10 USD.

It was time to walk around the city. Admire its beauty before heading back to Malaysia.

I had spent the last couple of days exploring the city. As I walked, I could not help but reflect on the amazing yet vivid experiences that I had for the couple of days that I was here in Hatyai. The people, the environment. One thing about this city is that it is clean. The people here are nice.

Odean Shopping Mall

This place is really classic. There wasn't a lot of people here shopping. While, I was still waiting for the van that was going to pick us up, we went around to check out Odean mall. One of the malls in Hatyai.

Small little ones singing chinese songs at the top floor.

I was entertained by how enthusiastic these young singers seemed to be.

There is a food court on this floor where you'll find a wide variety of Thai dishes, spicy curry to sweet desserts.

My wife went and order this.

After a while, we went to LEA Garden. The van was going to pick us from this particular location.

It was time to head back to Penang. Spend a night in Penang and then to Sarawak a day later.

Placed our luggages here

I spent a bit of my time looking outside the window where I was sitting and saw the sellers packing up to head back home. We had a couple of huge bags. We did not overload our luggage this time. Had a portion of them washed and worn again.

My wife waiting

This is the table at McDonalds. We had some food here.

One more view of McDonald's before heading to Penang.

The vendors selling clothes here normally pack up before the afternoon and head back home for a good day.

While I was here for the last couple of days, I hadn't seen a lot of tourist. So I am not sure if they had enough sales. That's my point of view. I spent an hour looking out the window and saw not much sales that was done.

Our luggage

I was on watch. Just to make sure no one was going to steal our luggage. So far, I don't think anyone here was going to do that. While I was here in Hatyai, I always felt safe.

It was interesting to look at the street peddler

Carrying stuff and walking around selling. There aren't many in Sarawak. The other unique thing that I saw around Hatyai were those who were selling on the median strips in the middle of two opposite roads at the traffic light. Hot but yet they stood there for hours.

I've been writing these trip post for a couple of weeks. I guess, I am compiling everything up. So in the future, I can look back and check out the itinerary.

Wish you a great day. Hope that you enjoyed reading this post.
