Do you like shaved ice dessert? There is one place here in Miri that sells shaved ice desserts. I was heading to Brunei, and before getting there, my wife suggested we try out the shaved ice at this place. The cafe here is called

This cafe specializes in ice shavings and chicken chops.

This dish is great for any given hot day.

The shop owner is a Taiwanese who lives in Miri with a Sarawakian wife.

There are different types of ice-shaved desserts to choose from. We chose matcha. This place is also famous for its chicken chop.

Most places do not sell frozen boba drinks. This is the only place that sells ice smoothie boba.

Those tapioca balls are usually quite chewy. My wife loves to chew on them.

Chicken chop

The way this chicken chop is fried is how it is fried in Taiwan. The bone is still intact. The Malaysian way of making this is that there are usually no bones inside.

Matcha shaved ice

Red bean, chewy potato balls. Waffle biscuits. You have to really eat this fast or else the ice melts quite quickly.

The shaved matcha melts directly in your mouth. The chicken chop is slightly spicy but not too spicy which is great in a way.
