Traveling is always fun. I went traveling recently. Been a while since I last went on a vacation. The last time I went out of Miri on a plane was last year in January. I booked this flight for a couple of months and had everything planned out. I am back from that trip. So now, I am working on compiling everything.

Miri to Kuching

Miri is a state in Sarawak. Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak. A typical flight from Kuching to Miri is around 55 minutes. The last time I came to Kuching, I spent about a week in Kuching. Driving around the city.

This is the departure hall at Miri airport. We were there quite early as we had an early flight. I slept a couple of hours only. Had been busy for a couple of weeks and here I was sitting there waiting to board a plane.

The best thing is that, after a while of working hard, it's great to go overseas to have a short break just to get everything together and energized again.

Miri doesn't have international flights yet so a lot of flights need to transit through Kuching or Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.

The passenger bridge

All planes that arrive in Sarawak has to have the passenger bridge attached to the plane for the passengers to board. In the past, we had to walk down the steps and walk up the plane again. It was pretty tough for the elderly. What about during bad weather?

Great weather

The sun was bright and beautiful. It was slightly hot but beautiful. Luckily, I had my camera on hand to capture that beautiful moment. I just love to be at places early and have the sun beam at a tilted angle to where I usually am.

The cabin of the Airasia plane

The way AirAsia's plane are; three rows on both side. More passengers, less ticket price. Everyone flies. Before AirAsia was founded, I remembered those days when flying was only for those who were wealthy. Not for the everyday Joe. The cabin is also surprisingly clean. The only complains usually are delays but other than that, this AirAsia does a good job of keeping its customers happy.

You can basically take any photo of Kuching airport and you'll not see any cleanliness issue. It's super duper clean. We love our airports and cities enough to be bothered to keep visible areas clean.

Kuching airport

One of the cleanest airport in Malaysia. It somehow has that warm vibes. The long walk way with less corners make it easy for passengers to find the way. Kuching airport is also not too far away from Kuching's main city. Another plus. So less paid for transportation. Easy to get transport here and the drivers here are pretty nice. They walk down and help you hold your bags. All.. All E-hailing drivers here.
