The Malaysian fried noodle

Hi hi.. Morning.. morning.. have you seen the Sarawakian fried noodles? An egg at the top... A cup of coffee to sum up everything? That's what a great delicious breakfast looks like here in Sarawak. It's a Friday again. Time passes rather so quickly. It's me @luueetang. Thanks for dropping by to take your time to read. =)

Sarawakian fried noodles

Made from freshly made noodles manufactured here in Miri, these noodles are fried on a wok. Then they slowly turn yellow. The last thing to add on is an egg on top. I usually order a cup of coffee.

The cafe

Happy Dragon cafe

I wonder why they had to call themselves the happy dragon? Maybe they cook with the dragon breath?

A very unique logo. This place is quite popular.

A simple layout for the cafe

I guess, in Miri, most cafe focus more on the what the food taste like rather than the look of the place. If you do visit Sarawak, these are the best places to eat. Want to eat? Walk around and see if there is any aircon? If the answer is no? Walk in and order anything, no need to even check the menu or the price, you wallet will have enough to pay. There are expensive places too but I seldom visit them, only occasionally.

A cup of coffee

This is what a coffee should look like here. If you ever go to a hotel for food in their premium restaurants here, never ever order their coffee? You would pay premium price for sub par coffee. This cup of coffee is around 50 cents USD.

CHAR KUEH TIAW

My wife ordered the Char Kueh Tiaw . Super duper delicious. These noodles were white until they become brown due to the frying. And definitely an egg on top.

My wife enjoying her plate of noodles.

The best thing to do to start off the day is to have a great breakfast at any cafe here in Sarawak. It's unbelievably good.

Do try out the local fried noodles with an egg on top. This is delicious.

Have a great day. Thank you for reading.

I think when the dragon is happy they produce a nicely cooked meal for the customer, when he is angry it might burn the whole meal. That is why they named it happy dragon. hahaha

Ughh I miss Sarawak fried noodles. We don't have it here. We have plenty of kolo mee stalls but none offers Sarawak friend noodles or foochow mee tomato.

How is the kolo Mee there? Kuching Kolo Mee taste different also from the Miri kolo Mee or the sibu kolo Mee . No fried noodles there.. oh no.. any Mee kuning? I love eating fried Mee kuning.but I don't always eat.. for health concerns.. 😉😉😉

Not all stalls offer the authentic mee kolo taste, unless they get the ingredients from Sarawak and the cook has experience preparing the real thing in the past. We have mee kuning but the fried kind, called fried yee mee, has a very different taste than our Sarawak fried noodle...of courselah.

OOO.. fried yee mee... wah.. the best thing to have.. I always order that.. Maybe cause of the crunchy taste.. Yea.. for me.. I've not been successful locating.. a kolo mee the same type as the one in Sarawak. Good thing in KL is till late at night got food to eat.. hahaa..
