Excited for the holidays to come. (LOH Contest)
In this season, with important dates for everyone, it is very great to be able to share with you here, how the things that I am passionate about come together with the most important date for me, as a mother, daughter and friend.
Cooking is my greatest passion. Since I was young, I have always loved experimenting with different flavors and culinary techniques. I owe this passion to my mother, who taught me a lot about it, and although she is no longer with us, I remember her every day when I cook. . Cooking is not only a way to feed my family, but I also see it as a love language. Every dish I prepare is full of love and care, and I enjoy watching my loved ones enjoy my recipes.
En esta temporada, con fechas importantes para todos, es muy genial poder compartir con ustedes aquí, como las cosas que me apasionan se juntan con la fecha más importante para mí, como madre, hija y amiga.
La cocina es mi mayor pasión. Desde que era joven, siempre me ha encantado experimentar con diferentes sabores y técnicas culinarias, esta pasión se la debo a mi mamá, la cual me enseñó mucho de la misma, y aunque ya no está con nosotros, yo la recuerdo cada día cuando cocino. La cocina no solo es una forma de alimentar a mi familia, sino que también la veo como un lenguaje del amor. Cada plato que preparo está lleno de amor y cuidado, y disfruto viendo a mis seres queridos disfrutar de mis recetas.
In addition to cooking, another of my passions is doing crafts and sewing. For a time, I dedicated myself to making clothes for my three children. It was a rewarding experience to be able to create unique and personalized garments for them. I love working with my hands and seeing how a piece of fabric is transformed into something beautiful and functional, from origami, drawing and foam decorations.
Además de la cocina, otra de mis pasiones es hacer manualidades y costuras. Durante un tiempo, me dediqué a hacer la ropa de mis tres hijos. Fue una experiencia gratificante poder crear prendas únicas y personalizadas para ellos. Me encanta trabajar con mis manos y ver cómo un trozo de tela se transforma en algo hermoso y funcional, desde origami, dibujar y adornos de foami.
My favorite holiday of the year, without a doubt, is Christmas. I love the way Venezuelans celebrate this holiday. For us, Christmas is a time of family togetherness, love and joy. I love decorating my house with bright lights, festive decorations, and the Christmas tree. It is a moment in which I can gather my entire family and spend unforgettable moments together, remembering those who are not there and celebrating the new things that have arrived and are yet to come.
Mi fiesta favorita del año, sin duda alguna, es la Navidad. Me encanta la forma en que los venezolanos celebramos esta festividad. Para nosotros, la Navidad es una época de unión familiar, amor y alegría. Me encanta decorar mi casa con luces brillantes, adornos festivos y el árbol de Navidad. Es un momento en el que puedo reunir a toda mi familia y pasar momentos inolvidables juntos, recordando a quien no están y celebrando por lo nuevo que llegó y está por venir.
During Christmas, I enjoy preparing delicious traditional Venezuelan foods, such as hallacas, ham bread and chicken salad, this is the reason why it is my most important date, since we always make our Christmas dinner as a family, we laugh, share and listen to the best Maracaibo bagpipes. It is an opportunity to share with my loved ones around the table, enjoying good food and conversation. I also love exchanging gifts with my family and seeing the excitement on my children's faces when they open their gifts.
Christmas is a time when I can reflect on the year that has passed, give thanks for all the blessings received, and look forward to what the next year has in store for us. It is a time to show generosity, love and gratitude towards others.
Durante la Navidad, disfruto preparando deliciosas comidas tradicionales venezolanas, como hallacas, pan de jamón y ensalada de gallina, aquí el motivo del cual es mi fecha más importante, ya que siempre hacemos nuestra cena navideña en familia, reímos, compartimos y escuchamos las mejores gaitas de Maracaibo. Es una oportunidad para compartir con mis seres queridos alrededor de la mesa, disfrutando de buena comida y conversación. También me encanta intercambiar regalos con mi familia y ver la emoción en los rostros de mis hijos cuando abren sus obsequios.
La Navidad es una época en la que puedo reflexionar sobre el año que ha pasado, agradecer por todas las bendiciones recibidas y esperar con entusiasmo lo que el próximo año nos deparará. Es un momento para mostrar generosidad, amor y gratitud hacia los demás.
My passion for cooking and crafts is reflected in every aspect of my life, especially during Christmas. It is a time when I can share my culinary and creative talents with my family, as we celebrate together the true meaning of this holiday. For me, Christmas is an opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen family ties.
For us it is a tradition to cry at the last minute of the year for the people who are no longer present and who we still miss too much, with a big hug accompanied by a happy new year. Without a doubt, there is my favorite and special place for me and my loved ones.
Mi pasión por la cocina y las manualidades se refleja en cada aspecto de mi vida, especialmente durante la Navidad. Es una época en la que puedo compartir mis talentos culinarios y creativos con mi familia, mientras celebramos juntos el verdadero significado de esta festividad. La Navidad es para mí una oportunidad para crear recuerdos duraderos y fortalecer los lazos familiares.
Para nosotros es una tradición llorar en el último minuto del año por las personas que ya no están presentes y que aun así extrañamos demasiado, con un fuerte abrazo acompañado de un feliz año nuevo. Sin duda alguna ahí se encuentra mi lugar favorito y especial para mí y mis seres queridos.
