How much have the scam ads brought into the proofofbrain warchest?

Just wondering, how much funds the highly over spammed ads all over proofofbrain have brought in? It better be a heck of a lot to make it worthwhile since a lot of these are scams!

I have one now for "CxCoin" quick google search brings up a reddit post about how the founder is the "OG" crypto scammer.

And alot that I have checked are pretty much the same.

Are they really worth it????

I wonder how many have been caught and scammed from them already???

At this point I will probably stop using the front end. No great loss to you, but I cant be alone, why would I want to pay a 10% fee for the pleasure of being spammed with scam crypto ads??

Pretty rich considering you raked in thousands of POB while pledging that you were going to powerup and not sell any for 12 months, which was then rectified slightly so you could sell some, then recently you've powered down everything and sold the majority on the market.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel scammed for all those votes that I gave you while being under the impression that they were safe and secure with someone who was sticking it out on the platform long term.

Sorry to let you down calumam, but when i see the squabling, uncertaintity and general shit going on then I am selling out, I kept the pledge for three months or so - its a douch bag move i cant deny but the fact is if I think im on a sinking ship im going to jump.

As it happens things "appear" a bit more settled now, but I am still uncertain. My posts dont demand an account of my size. And my votes were to strong for my imput levels.

The vast majority of my rewards came from large votes in the early days and curation, if you feel your votes were missplaced then Im sorry. I DID offer some kind of limited value and imput at the time - pob-fund was my brainchild.

So If i took away then That is my giving back to the community - I hope it does something.....

Any vote I received you got 50% back in curation, so you did just fine, BIG difference to people getting rug pulled on large sums of staked defi coins.

But I can hold my hands up and say It wasnt a honorable thing to do on my part.

I got scammed massively on a steem project called "magicdice" the pob I sold when "some" way to paying that back.

Money talks, I lost my job. Tough choices had to be made.

Fair enough, I can't knock you for that response. With regards to the ads, I was under the impression that they were being removed at some point because the traffic doesn't justify them at the moment. I use Brave personally so I've never seen them but there have been multiple issues raised about potential malware and scams, so I'm hoping they're removed soon.

I should probably make a post about it to be fair.

I really should use brave myself, but I would wager most use chrome - I do because of hive keychain - if thats avalible on brave then its probably time to swap for me. The ads are totally spammy and scammy and i have checked many out (without clicking on them) and most are outright scams. Since proofofbrain is a splinter from hive currently and hive is many peoples first entry into cryptospace i really feel it isnt on.

I accidentally clicked a few of them trying to click something else and today I noticed one of my credit cards was hacked not sure if it has anything to do with the ads but hearing about the malware is concerning.
Still keeping my pledge to the community even though I haven’t been as active as I like to be on here but since I basically got all my rewards for free I am willing to go down with the sinking ship like the captain from Titanic movie.

this is a serious issue. cyber crime has been so rampant nowadays. a lot of coin are out there that are not real and people still invest in them unknowingly.

The only advice I can give to the people in this platform is that they should try as much as possible to investigate any coin heard so as not to fall victim of this cyber crime

Yes this is true, i always give a quick google search to the name out of interest and never click any direct link or advert.

Yeah not a fan at all of the ads I keep accidentally clicking them when I try to hit my profile on the top right when page just loads and when the ad comes on I accidentally click it.

The scam ads quite rampant this days. I always do well to avoid as much as possible. Also my part informing folks of mine to avoid clicking things such as those. Hope the awareness of this gets to many so they don't fall victim to this fraudulent scumbags.

POB stated that the ads only brought in < 100 dollars. Yeah, what a fortune. POB was evaluating switching vendors or canceling the ads altogether given the concerns. I don't know the status of his statement.
