A trip to Talalla beach in the south located in a calm environment.

Hi my loving travelers,

Greetings from Sri Lanka. Yesterday I took official leave with the aim of giving a temporary farewell to the busy life and recovering mentally. After asking the family, we made a plan about a suitable place to go the day before. We started our journey to Talalla, a beautiful beach in southern Sri Lanka, only at 8.30 in the morning. There is also a natural swimming pool at Talalla Beach. Talalla was temporarily closed for the safety of tourists due to the strong sea waves some time ago. A small booth was opened by the Department of Coastal Conservation near the entrance to the natural swimming pool.

A concrete paved road has been prepared to access the beautiful beach of Talalla. It is not possible to enter vehicles because an iron plate is made like a gate. A foundation is made using black stone, sand and cement on both sides. The gate was taller than my daughter so she entered under it.

Anyone coming from Colombo city can easily reach it by taking the Colombo - Tangalle main road. Or you have to go to Matara side for a short distance to Dickwella town from Beliatta interchange on the Southern Expressway. It is possible to dive directly onto the beach. But you can get more cool by going to the area like a park and enjoying it.

Although the clouds appeared dark on other days of the week, yesterday was filled with intense sunshine. It is a beautiful creation of nature that the sky and the sea come together on the far horizon and both objects appear as one. It goes without saying that if we take proper care of nature, nature will reap many additional benefits. A calm lila was to be seen around the Talalla seafront.

Since she didn't go to preschool and there was no car park zone, my lovely daughter was running freely along the road. I don't need to tell you that if she feels so relieved at such a young age, how much mental relief we as adults feel.

The area around Talalla beach is full of beauty. Being full of mangroves and various plant varieties, its brilliance is well shown. In the meantime, we were able to see some pine trees. I had no idea why we planted pine trees in this area. Because the damage caused by pine trees to other tree species is beyond words.

I was looking intently at a plant that had a layer of leaves similar to seaweed. Although there is no beauty in the flowers, the beauty that the leaves give to the environment is wonderful. No animal or bird eats the large fruits.

No matter how hot the sun was, we were able to take seats because of the shade. Especially since it was a weekday, there were not many people there. The variety of mangrove plant that Sri Lankans call Vatkeiya is widely distributed along the Talalla coast. Talalla Beach Park is a perfect haven for those who really need a real mental recovery. Maybe that's why more lovers hang out here on weekends.

A small hill can be seen above Talalla Beach Park. All that is to be seen there are small species of plants that shine in green. Therefore, it gives green color to the garden and gives it extra brightness. The blue color seen in the sky and the green color seen in the hills create a wonderful combination of colors in the environment.

The sun reached the top of the sky and tried to give us more rays, but the shade of the pine trees prevented it, considering us as their friends. Although the leaves of pine trees are like a thin fiber, when all the leaves are collected, a certain area can be shaded. This is the wonder of nature. The way to bring out the beauty by using different combinations is precious.

In fact, I was thinking of seeing the Talalla Natural Bath and other ruins and showing them to you. But unfortunately, it was still closed due to the recent disaster caused by the high waves. This place, where a young person lost his life, was closed because some people carelessly bathed in the natural pool. The disaster could have been prevented when the waves hit. But everyone should take care to take a safe bath by regularly checking the sea waves. Look, if that disaster had not happened then, foreign tourists could have been inspired here.

Although Talalla Beach is not very popular among foreign tourists, it is more popular among local tourists. Several tourist resorts have been built around Talalla, and few foreigners were seen in them. For a safer swim, there were several places surrounded by limestone below the beach park, where a small family, including small children, were swimming.

Mangrove plants that thrive in saline environments have their roots protruding from the ground. It is a unique feature of mangrove biodiversity.

We decided to go back to the starting point as it was forbidden to enter the part where the natural bath was.

My daughter had a strong desire to surf the sea, so we allowed her wish. But the wife also joined my daughter's desire for her daughter's safety. We had to step onto the beach between the rocks used to prevent beach erosion.

In fact, the trip to the Talalla beach gave us mental healing as well as happiness. All of us as human beings should prioritize to provide family happiness. I am sincerely happy to be able to provide such a travel experience to my loved ones.

Here I have something more important to say. A limited quantity of polythene packets, beer cans and broken empty liquor bottles could be seen around the Talalla beach. The damage to the marine environment cannot be prevented if we do not stop this bad work done by some people. Through that, man must face dangerous consequences in the near future. Therefore, I request you to love the environment as much as possible.
