What's up guys? I think you are in good healthy and using your golden time for build up personal and professional works. Due to the covid19 spreding up again, imposed travel restictions province to another province. So my beautiful travel destnations stopped near two years. I have to be patience in this situation. However we can travel among our provincial areas. Yesterday I got half day leave form my company for climb small mountain located over 50 km since my office. We went there with three friends from their motor bikes. I enjoyed the beautiful green environments while my friend's riding. After one hour we reached to the start point of the mountain. We parked our bikes villager's home garden.

It should be noted that this place does not look like a forest. Mostly found only in tea estates and wild plants. Small stones were also found. Jackfruit trees were also found on a hill near the village.

The climate was very good for climbing. These days Sri Lanka has heavy rain condition. One of villager said that few hours ago, there was rain. We were fortunate that moment. Slowly we started our journey.

While our climb I could see cinnamon cultivation covered some area of the mountain. People in many rural areas make a living by cultivating plantation crops. Seeing this scene I could imagine that some people were tempted to cultivate cinnamon in this way.

Then after my eyes goes another side of the land. In the small forest at the top of the hill, you can clearly see the cinnamon plants growing here and there. The scenery of the green background was really awesome with sunlight.

Coconut trees are a type of tree that is commonly found anywhere in Sri Lanka. As we climbed up the hill we saw these coconut trees growing very large and tall. Coconut can be described as an essential ingredient for Sri Lankan housewives.

Then after we crossed tea estates while climbing. Tea estates is another common scenery for every hiking of Sri Lanka. Many citizens working this estates who're living in Sri Lankan rural areas. Many estates maintained by the factory owners. Only few general people have personal tea estates.

For more than three decades, there was no country in the world that could challenge Sri Lankan tea. But now Sri Lanka has to compete with all other countries as there is a lot of interest in tea cultivation. The topography of Sri Lanka is very favorable for tea cultivation. Due to this a large number of employment opportunities have been created in connection with tea cultivation.

Then we had to walk through a small jungle area. The shade we got from these trees was very comforting as we were tired from the sunshine. There was a biodiversity hotspot rich in different types of trees. These trees brings more value to the surrounded nature. As a nature lover, why I always saying, please protect the nature and don't destroy the trees. Sometimes we need to find wood for our furniture requirements. But if we cut down one big tree, must need to plant small once.

Of course, this is not a popular place for travelers. With travel restrictions, we reached to various place for climb. Galle - Mapalagama main road popular way to reach this location. But there are few roads available for visit this beautiful location.

We reached to the final destination of this small mountain. There are tallest trees on the hill. Sun slowly hide under the white clouds. No any risk we got this climb experience. The villagers said only snake species living on the mountain and no other wildlife living.

Only our main target were kick start our hike experience before reach tallest mountain. Our team previously reached highest hills in Sri Lanka. But recently we were lazy and we hadn't not enough physical fitness for climbing. I think this little experience will bring brilliant destination.
