Rituals and worshiped process of Vesak full moon poyaday in Yatagala temple.

Hi my loving friends, Greetings from Sri Lanka. I believe you're doing well. I previously mentioned day before yesterday was vesak full moon poyaday and every Buddhists celebrated that important religious event peacefully since their home and did rituals since nearest temples. I already shared how we celebrated Vesak festival since home uploaded night time decorations. I believe you got some idea how Buddhists enjoyed their important day. Usually after lighting Vesak lanterns, clay lamps, multi coloured lights etc Buddhists go to the temple for worship Lord Buddha and do our rituals. Due to some rainy situation many citizens stayed their house without going to the temple. Our family members also stayed our home. But Monday was day following Vesak full moon poya day. So we had opportunity to went there with my wife and daughter.

We decided to go Yatagala raja maha temple for worship and do rituals where it's located over 2.5 km since our home. This temple has over 2300 years history. So yatagala temple is most oldest temple around our region. After parked our bike in front of entrance gate, we started our walking. My daughter walked alone without caught our hands. She want to enjoy looking around the temple's environment. After came to the upstairs daughter caught my hand for little bit support to climb. Yatagala temple located top of the mountain this area. Also highest standing Buddha statue built here those days by ancestors. Nowadays Buddha statue painted from suitable colors.

We brought flowers, coconut oil, instant sticks for worship to Dagoba, Bo tree and Buddha's mandir. Gradually first we reached to the dagoba painted from brilliant white color. Then put some of flower on the flower's seat and worshiped from our hands. Then reached to Bodhi tree and put flowers and next went to the Buddha mandir did the same. Then after we lighting the clay lamps using coconut oil put on it. There are more lamps structures built various places in the temple land. Then we keep burnt instant sticks separate places. Whole temple had nice aroma from flowers fragrance and instant sticks fragrance. We spent peaceful time there. Finally we sit on the tiled floor and worshipped said gatha loudly. Thanks for visiting.
