Warmly welcome to 2023 / New year celebration eve with my friends in Unawatuna beach

Hi my living Hivers,

I wish you wonderful, happiness and prosperous new year 2023 to everyone. I was unable to come to this platform for two days due to increased busyness before the beginning of New Year's Eve. It happened because I had to make plans to make arrangements for the New Year at work and at home. Every year on December 31st night I celebrate New Year with my closest friends. Due to the large number of foreign tourists visiting our country this year, many parties to celebrate the New Year were held at the tourist resorts near the seashores. It was also a resort where an open party was held, so we had a great opportunity to have fun with local and foreign friends. This content is about that.

Just before 12 midnight, we arrived near Unawatuna Beach, a famous place among tourists, to watch a fireworks display. Even then, the local people had gathered to watch the fireworks with their beloved family members. It was not easy to find spaces to walk further along the beach. Four other friends participated in this trip with me. Believe me, from the second 12 midnight dawned, fireworks of various colors lit up the scorching sky. At that moment, the lights were temporarily turned off, so the fireworks were not visible to my smartphone camera. But what a fascinating sight it is to the living eye.

In another part of the Verapa land, fireworks can be seen being set off into the sky. Many people were sitting on the beach to see the beautiful scenery. This time the participation of children was also seen more.

A tourist resort with a beautiful architectural style entrance gate caught my eye and stopped for a while. It can be seen how the outer wall was built with clay. The brown color gives the resort a different look.

You can reach the beautiful Unawatuna beach from Colombo by three routes. Unawatuna can be reached by exiting the Pinnaduwa entrance of the Colombo-Matara railway line, the Colombo-Matara main road or the Southern Expressway.

It's only been a week since Christmas, but the heat hasn't gone away. Christmas trees created using beautifully colored light bulb vines are still seen in front of restaurants, lodges and hotels along the seafront. They are sure to attract not only mine but also your heart. My friends also took pictures from different angles because it makes the memory beautiful.

New Year's parties were mostly held inside hotel resorts, so many people did not attend because of the high price of entry tickets. Therefore, there were few people near some tourist resorts. But to win the tourist attraction, decorations with neon light bulbs were seen in the middle distance.

A few years ago, the beautiful Unawatuna beach was severely eroded due to the wrong decisions and reckless actions of some people, and even a beach space could not be found. On those days, the owners of tourist hotels also expressed their opinions about it through the media. Finally, the beach space was increased by pumping sand into the sea via ships. Therefore, now tourists can enjoy themselves on the beach, but because the depth of the sea has increased, it is little bit dangerous to swim.

A tourist who has traveled to Unawatuna beach before coming to Sri Lanka knows very well how many opportunities there are to have fun here. This year Sanchaka Mandal has prepared special opportunities for foreign tourists to enjoy themselves. As a result, many Europeans came here and had a lot of fun. The high speed DJ music they need should be appreciated by hoteliers using experienced musicians on their premises.

Due to a recent bug, my camera lens is not taking proper pictures at night time with half distance. But I always try to be fair to you. The many decorations on the beach have amazed not only me but also foreign tourists. They want to come here in peace and happiness and enjoy the opportunity to the fullest. Through conversations in English with some foreign friends, I was able to understand that.

Instead of the beach that was eroded in those days, now you can see how much space the Unawatuna beach will have. Some tourist lodges don't have any tourists because of the mistakes in their marketing tactics. Beautiful design alone is not enough to win tourist attraction. The management should take care to provide them with the many facilities they need. During this fun trip of mine, I could see several places that did not attract tourist attraction. The relevant entrepreneurs should try to take proper experience from the weaknesses and move towards success.

Fast-paced music, which was expected by local as well as foreign tourists, was held at several places. Me, my friends and other tourists also performed dances to the music. Arrangements were made to provide plenty of alcohol. It is a blessing to be able to participate in dance activities to music in a peaceful manner. Because it is an accident to see the peacefulness of such shows. A special thanks to the local people for all their patience. Foreign tourists should be given free space in our country. If so, stop because there is more space for them to come to our country. My friends worked to give them more happiness while enjoying our happiness.
